We regret to announce the sudden demise of Major Samwel Kipkosgei Kangogo of Forces Memorial Hospital, Nairobi, which occurred on 27th June 2025.
Born on 30th June 1965 at Kapkukto, Tembelio Ward, Uasin Gishu County, Major Kangogo was the beloved son of the late Kutto Kangogo Kiplele arap Mugonyin and Hanna Tarkok Kangogo of Kapkukto Village, Elgeyo Border Sub-Location, Tembelio Location, Uasin Gishu County.
He was also a cherished son-in-law of Mr. Kiplel Kipsambu Keshele and Mrs. Mary Tabarno Kiplel of Kaptagat Scheme.
Grandson of Kogo Sanieko Kipiele.
He was the devoted husband of Mrs. Patricia Kosgei Kangogo (Kosom) of National Oil Corporation, Nairobi, and a loving father of Josylene Kosgei Kangogo (Ministry of Interior and National Government). Meisy Jepchumba Kangogo, Michelle Jerop Kangogo, and Mark Kipkemoi Kangogo (UK).
Brother of David Kangogo. SSP in the National Police Service and National Vice Chairman of the Police Sacco, Titus Kangogo (Portland Cement), Francis Kangogo, Pius Kangogo, and Paul Kangogo.
Brother-in-law of Ruth, Sylvia, Emmy, Emmaculate, Robert, Raphael, Josephine, Winsome, Christopher, Jerotich, Jepchirchir, Kibiwot, and Jemisto.
He was Father-in-law of Seston Kemboi and doting grandfather of Shawn Kibet and Shem Kiprop.
Burial arrangements and prayers are being held daily at his home in Kitengela (Safaricom 2), Wilson Airport Police Canteen (Kabande), Kapkukto, and Plateau.
The cortege will depart for his Plateau home on Friday 4th July 2025, with a Requiem Mass at St.Teresa of the Child Jesus Church, Naiberi at 3:00 PM. Thereafter, the body will be taken to his home for an overnight vigil. The burial will take place on Saturday, 5th July 2025, at his Plateau home, Kipsinende Location, Uasin Gishu County, starting at 9:00 AM.
