Githae Kiereini

“I have to leave, I have no any, otherwise!”

We regret to announce the death of Githae Kiereini.

Githae was the son of Jeremiah and Muringo Kiereini.

Brother of Douglas, Wambui King, Mumbi, the late Mburu and Caroline Kiereini and brother-in-law of Joyce and Wambui Mburu Kiereini.

He was an uncle, cousin of many and beloved friend to many more.

He was cremated at a private family ceremony on Thursday April 6th 2017. There will be a memorial service and celebration of Githae’s life at All Saints Cathedral on April 21st at 2pm.

Her Excellency Ambassador Margaret Wambui Kenyatta

1928 – 2017

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Her Excellency Ambassador Margaret Wambui Kenyatta.

She was the daughter of His Excellency the late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta and the late Mama Grace Wahu Kenyatta and Her Excellency Mama Ngina Kenyatta.

She was the mother of the late Justice Patrick John Kamau and Emily Wanjiku Kamau.

Sister of the late Hon. Peter Muigai, Peter Magana, Jeni Kenyatta Gecaga, Kristina Kenyatta Pratt, His Excellency Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta and Her the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta, Nyokabi Kenyatta Muthama, Muhoho and Erica Kenyatta.

 

Grandmother to Njomo and Wangui Kamau, Ngwiri and Nyambura Kamau, Wambui (Bo) and Ben Maina. Great-grandmother to Eva Wanjiku and Ruth Kirigo, Arianna Wanjiku, Ryan Kamau, Adrienne Wanjiku and Jamie Kuriah.

 

She was the sister-in-law to Charity Gathoni, the late Sophia Wanjiru, Mary Wamuhu, the late Esther Njoki and Rachel Wanjiru. She was also a beloved Auntie, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and Great-great-grandmother to many. She will be dearly missed. Family and friends are meeting at her home in Lavington. Funeral arrangements to be announced later.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers at her home in Lavington.

The funeral service will will be held on Thursday 13th April 2017 at the St Andrews PCEA Church at 10am.

Burial will follow thereafter at the Ngando home.

Alfred Dennis Njeru

It is in deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alfred Dennis Njeru, which occurred on 4th April 2017.

Son of Peter Ngiri Mbiti and Catherine Kinyua Ngiri.

Husband of the late Gladys Njambi. Father of Victor Ngumo and Steve.

Brother of Daisy Karimi Muriuki, Benson Gitonga, Pauline Kagendo, Christine Njeri, John Riungu, Cyprian Mwenda and Caroline Kaari. Brother in law of Hon Muriuki Njagagua (MP Mbeere North), Clive Moore, Henry Kariuki and Mercy Mawira. Uncle of Cynthia, Fiona, Brian, Makena, Natasha, Allan, George, Kathleen, Angel, Murimi and Stanley. Son in law of the late Christopher Mbogo, Anastasia Waithera and Keziah Mbogo.

Prayers and burial preparations are taking place daily at their home in Rugakori Village from 5.30pm and Antonio’s Hotel Opposite Cardinal Otunga Plaza, Nairobi. The cortege leaves Gakwegori Funeral Home on Tuesday 11th April 2017 at 9am for funeral service and burial at his home, Rugakori Village, Gachuriri sub location, Embu County.

Linda Njoki Waithanji

It is with profound grief and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Linda Njoki Waithanji which occurred on Thursday 23rd March 2017 at University College Hospital, London.

Daughter of Bernard Waithanji Njoroge and Elizabeth Njoki Waithanji of Ol Kalou, Nyandarua County.

Sister-of Kevin Njoroge Waithanji and Ernest Kiwara Waithanji. Granddaughter of the late William Njoroge and Pauline Njoki of Siranga Scheme, Ol Kalou and the late Duncan Kiwara and Phyllis Njahira of Kirangi village, Gatundu South. Niece of Josephine Nyokabi, Mathew Gichuki, Teresia Karanja, Felistas Mwatha, Regina Ndomo, Fred Wanjihia,Thuku Kiwara among others. Cousin and friend of many.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home, Nakuru on Tuesday 11th April 2017 at 7:30am for Mass and burial at her grandfather’s home, Siranga village, Rurie location, Ol Kaloi, Nyandarua County at 11am.

FREDRICK PETER MWAURA MBIYU

It is with humility and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Fredrick Peter Mwaura Mbiyu. Formerly of Ministry of Public Works. He died in his sleep on the morning of 1st April 2017 at his home in Banana Hill. He is a son of the late Tabitha Wanjiru wa Koinange, husband of Peris Wangui Mwaura.

Beloved father of Esther Njeri (Naivasha), Janet Wakonyo (Kiambaa), Loisa Wanjiku Kamau (Windsor Golf), Anne Nyambura (USA) and David Koinange (KOINS) Mediamax Network Limited).

Father in law of David Muinamia (Naivasha), Michael Kamau, Leonard Gatundu (USA) and Dawn Maria Koinange.

Brother of Margaret Njeri Gachie (Gachoru), the late Hannah Nyambura, late David Koinange, late Mwalimu Elizabeth Wambui and late Godfrey Njoroge. He leaves behind several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home tomorrow Friday 7th April 2017 at 9am for a funeral service at ACK St Michael and All Angels Banana-Hill at 11am. Thereafter the burial takes place at his home in Banana next to Platinum Estate.

Paul Ngugi Githuka

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Paul Ngugi Githuka. The death occurred in South Africa.

Son of the late Allan Githuka Kang’ethe and Sarah Njeri. Husband of Nolwazi Nomqabuko Ngugi. Father of Githuka (USA), Njeri (USA), Nonaliti, Ndung’u, Wambui, Mburu, Sinombuso and Kang’ethe (All of South Africa). Brother of Allan Kang’ethe (USA), Charles Ndun’gu Githuka (Advocate), Kagima Githuka, late Peter Muiruri, Lucy Wambui, Monica Mumbi (USA), late George Mburu, Ann Wanjiku (USA), Arthur Njoroge and Charity Wanjiru (USA). Grandfather of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Baxton Ihiga for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The funeral will take place at their home in Baxton Red Hill near St Paul University Limuru on Friday 7th April 2017 starting at 11am.

Godfrey Ngumo Nyaga

We are saddened to announce the passing on of Godfrey Ngumo Nyaga of Ostrichlion auctioneers on 30/3/2017 at K.N.H. His parents were the late Peter Nyaga Murage and Rachael Nduta Nyaga. He is survived by his sister Wanjiru Mugo of Karai and brother William Wainaina Nyaga of Ruai.His other departed siblings were Geoffrey Chege, Evanson Maina, MaryWangui and George Githua. Father of Peter Kinyanjui (Ostrichlion Auctioneers), Peter Mwaura (formely of Family Bank), .Rachael Nduta (Kenya Orient), Geofrrey Chege, Patrick Mbugua, Evanson Maina (USA), Dominic Marika, and Sharon Wanjiku and their mother is Mary Wangari of karura. Uncle of Peter Kinyanjui, Michael Kimani (Guka), Margaret, Rachael, Francis, Alice among very many others and grandfather to many.

The cortege will leave PCEA Kikuyu Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 6th April at 9.00am and burial service will follow later at 11.00am at the graveside at his farm in Karura, Kagongo village in Kiambu County.

 

Newton Elijah Shisiali

The retired Director of Nairobi Baptist Centre – Kenya, Magomeni Baptist Centre – TZ, a deacon at Shauri Moyo Baptist church and the co-founder of NN Kitega-uchumi Enterprises.

Son of the late Samuel Wachira Kiiyuru and the late Grace Gathoni Wachira. Beloved husband of Eunice Wanjiru. Father of Caroline Wanjiku of Starehe Boys Centre, Alex Wachira of KWFT Rongo, Maureen Gathoni of Mitahato. Father-in-law of the Late Peter Waruingi, Sammy and Esther. Brother of the late David Mathathi, the late Joseph Ndichu, Jane Njeri, John Ndua, Patrick Gachwe and Samson Njongoro. Son-in-law of Mrs. Monica Njongoro of Mitahato. Step brother of the late Stephen Ndichu, the late Pauline Njeri, Daniel Ngurani, Late Rani and Edward Ndua all of Mitahato. Grandfather of Yvonne, Ivy, Mark and Liz.

The Cortege will leave KU Mortuary on Friday 7th April, 2017 at 9.00am. Service will take place at ACK Mitahato church and  later we lay him to rest at his farm, Kambara near Harry Thuku’s Farm.
