We the family of the late Kariuki Kimita (Kamathaai) announce the death of our dear Mum Shiperah Wahito (Wagithaiga) which occurred on 13th January 2017 after a long illness.

Wife of the late Kariuki Kimita. Daughter of the late Githaiga Ikua and Wanjiru Githaiga. Sister of Mugo Githaiga(Kiangoma), the late Ikua Githaiga and the late Wairimu Kariuki Jeremiah. Mother of Jane Mbuchi Njiraini, Johnson K. Kariuki (formerly of CFC), Grace Gathoni Njihia (Ngong), Githaiga Kariuki (Naromoru), the late Arthur Gikaria, Stephen Ikua (County Commissioner), Hiram Kariuki (Nakumatt) and Waweru Kariuki (DOSHS-Ministry of EAC, Labour and Social Security). In-law of Njiraini Kuvuta (Kirinyaga), Beatrice Kimita (High Court Nyeri), Robert Njihia (Ngong), Lydia Wanjiru (Thika, Landless), Ester Wachera (Gikomba). Grandmother of Zipporah Wahito Kimita (Sheria Sacco), Nicholas Njihia (KCB), Kariuki Ikua (Moi University), Annet Wahito (China) among others. Great grandmother of many.

Family and Friends are meeting at Nairobi Holy Family Basilicca, Thika Landless and at her home in Kiangoma.

Burial ceremony will be held on 21st Saturday 2017 at Gathitu Primary School and thereafter at her farm in Kiangoma Village, Mukurweini Nyeri.

Father-in-law of Peter Mbugua Kabiru (Uber Taxi) and Veronica Njeri Kamanga. Brother of Joseph Ngugi (Kamau), Rosemary Wanjiku Mburu, the late Simon Boro, Jacinta Wambui Nyaga, Josephine Gathoni Macharia, Francis Kinyanyui and Bernard Gitau. Grandpa of Stephen Maina Mbugua (Kenya Airforce), Joseph Kabiru, Esther Njeri, Stephen Maina Kamanga, Felix Ngigi and Margaret Njoki.

The cortege leaves PCEA Kikuyu hospital mortuary on Thursday 19th January 2017 at 9am for prayers and burial at his Kerwa home.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at their Kandara home and Abbey Hotel, Nairobi, from 6pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Saturday 21st January 2017 at 8am for a funeral and burial service at their Kandara Home.

Second born daughter of Paul Omondi Mbago and Janet Atieno Omondi of Ugenya Siaya County. Sister of Elizabeth Awuor Omondi (USA). Grand daughter of the late Camilus and Rosa Mbago and the late Gideon and Roselida Musumba. Niece of the late Gabriel, Carlos, Prof Peter Wanyande (UoN), Joster, Pius, Steve, Isaac, Fredrick, Rita Onyango (Nairobi Primary) among others. Cousin of many.

There will be a fundraising for funeral expenses on Wednesday 18th January 2017 at Lavington, Kunde Road, House #5 residence of Paul Mbago from 5pm.

The funeral service will be on Saturday 21st January at Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home Chapel at noon, and burial will take place at Lang’ata Cemetery at 2pm.

Friends and relatives are meeting at St Andrews Church, Nairobi, on Tuesday 17th, Wednesday 18th and 19th Thursday 2017 from 5.30pm to 7.00pm.

The burial will take place on Saturday 21st January 2017 at Nkandone South Village, South Imenti, Meru County.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital mortuary, Kisumu on Thursday 19th January at 9am for service at St. Stephens Cathedral (new site) Kisumu.

The funeral procession will then proceed to St. Peters ACK-Thim, Bondo for service followed by an overnight vigil at the home.

The funeral ceremony and burial will take place at her home in Anywongi, Bondo on Friday, 20th anuary, 2017 beginning at 10am.

Son of the late Mutuku Musava and the late Mary Muia Mutuku. Beloved husband of Jennifer Kanini. Doting father of Maureen Mumbua (University of Nairobi) and Noella Ndunge. Brother of the late Alex Mutisya, Onesmus Kilonzo (teacher Kaunguni Primary), Fredrick Ngei, the late Mbulwa Maswili, Regina Kalondu, Mwikali Kilula, Nzeli Nzingu and Joyce Kasiva Waema.
