It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of George Otieno Odikre of Nairobi Baptist Church on 2nd January 2017 after a short illness.

Husband of the late Marence Otieno. Son of the late Peter Odikre & the late Mama Milkah Adhiambo.

Father of Ruth Nancy Anyango (Keriri University) & Henry Odhiambo. Nephew of Peter Oluoch. Brother of Kenneth Omondi, Esther Achieng’, Jane Odikre, Hellen Akinyi, Augustine Odikre and Isdorah Atieno.

Meetings are being held daily at Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong’ Road from 6pm.

Fundraising will be held on Wednesday 11th January 20I7, funeral service will he held on Thursday 12th January 2017.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home on Friday 13th January 2017 for burial on Saturday 14th January at East Kabodho, Moro Sub-location, Nyakach, Kisumu County.

Wife of the late Mzee Laichena Kirera and co-wife of the late Mama Maureen Matira.

Daughter of the late Mzee M’Mugambi M’Itirikia and the late Mama Mokanake.

Sister if the late M’Ithai, the late Kalu M’mugambi, the late Zipporah M’Ikiao.

Loving mother of Bridget Inambambu, Winston Mbiti, Catherine Murungi, Livingstone Mwongela, Pastor Jacob (SDA, Ruai) and the late Christine Kawira.

Stepmother of Rebecca M’Mucheke, Charity Baitirithia, the late Henry Ngore, Samuel Gichunge, Elias BK Laichena, George Mungathia, Winfred Karau, Irene Kobia and Cecilia Pozi, Monica M’Mujuru and Beatrice Matundu.

Grandmother of Esther, Henry, Dally, David, Kinoti, Mwenda, Gakii, Lemuel among many. Great grandmother of Kathambi, Lena, Mutwiri and Mwendwa among many.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at Pastor Laichena’s residence in Utawala near Capital Mall at 5pm.

The main fundraiser will be on Sunday 8th January at the same venue starting at 2pm.

Those unable to attend may liaise with the committee Treasurer Elder Ben Okoba on 0722-710837. There shall be a requiem service at the Kenyatta University Funeral Home on 9th January 2017 at 8am before departure for Meru.

Burial will be on 10th January 2017 at her home in Mwiyo Village, Njia Location, Meru County.

Daughter-in-law of the late Booker Mbugua Githegi and the late Mary Njeri (Gakia).

Mother-in-law of Irene Mbugua, the late Danson Kimindiri, Catherine Mundia, George Nderitu, Moses Njoroge and Maryanne Thuo.

Friends and relatives are meeting for condolences and daily prayers at her home in Riara Ridge near Nazareth Hospital, Limuru, from 4p.m.

There will be a prayer service on Sunday at 3pm.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Tuesday, 10th January, 2017 at 8am. Funeral service will be held at P.C.E.A ltungi Church, Riara Ridge Parish at 10.30am followed by burial at her home in Riara Ridge.

Beloved husband of Esther Muthoni Mwangi. Son of the late Moses Muchugu and late Rahab Gathoni Muchugu. Father of Patrick Muchugu, Jane Gathoni (Maungo), Zipporah Wangui (Police Kapsabet), Winrose Gathigia (Ruiru), Charity Mumbi (Meru) and Timothy Wachira. Brother of Rev. Erustus Njege, Rev. Paul Mathenge, Racheal Wangu, John Weru, Gregory Gitonga, Amos Mwangi and Simon Muchugu (Police Kerugoya) among others.

Friends and family are meeting daily at Nanyuki Presbytery and Kiririchua (Mureru) for burial arrangements.

The cortege leaves Nanyuki General Hospital mortuary on Monday 9th January, 2017 at 8am for a funeral service at PCEA Nanyuki Church at 9am and burial thereafter at his farm in Kiririchua (Mureru) Kieni East Sub-County, Nyeri County at 11.00am.

Mother of Gichiri Ndua, formerly of Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), Mrs Agnes Nuna Kinuthia, Mrs Teresia Njoki Mamui, James Gitau Ndua of Kahawa West, George Wachira Ndua of Mutomo village, the late John Thuo Ndua formerly of Malindi, Regina Murugi Waweru, Magdalene Wambui Njoroge, Paul Ngugi Ndua of KPA and Monica Wanjeri Ndua. Father in love of Esther Wangui Kibuga (Indepth Water Services) and in law of Charity Wanjiru Muriuki of Karatina. The cortege will leave City Mortuary on Friday 6th January at 7am.

The funeral service will take place at ACK St Annes Mwiki from 10am to 12noon.

The burial will take place at his farm at Koma Hill along Kangundo Road near North Gate School on the same day at 1pm.
