It is with humble acceptance of God’s will and doing that we announce the passing of Samuel Muriithi Miano (Mzee Moja) that occurred on 1st January 2017, after a long illness bravely borne. He was a member of East African Revival Fellowship.

Son of the late Elder Philip Miano Muturi and the late Sarah Njeri of Kiamwangi village, Karatina, Nyeri County.

Husband of Edith Watetu. Father of Elizabeth Ngima Mwangi, the late Isabelle Njeri Mwenje, the late John Miano, the late William Waweru, David Muturi, Nancy Waruguru, Catherine Njamiu and Caroline Muthoni. Brother of the late Grace Waruguru, Bilha Muthoni, Joshua Wairire, Elder Bertha Wanjiku, the late Mary Wairimu, Shadrach Muriu and Elijah Karugu. Father-in-law of die late Z. Mwangi, the late Hon. David Mwenje, Anne Nyambura and Caroline Waweru. Dotting grandfather of 22 grandchildren and great grandfather of 7 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Mrs Elizabeth Mwangi’s residence along Tigoni Road, near St. Paul’s University, from 4pm and at his home in Leshau, Ndaragua from 45pm for, prayers and funeral arrangements. There will be a memorial service on Sunday 8th January 2017 at Elizabeth Mwangi’s home at 3pm. The funeral service will be held at PCEA Church Kahembe, Nyahururu, onWednesday, 11th January 2017 and he will be laid to rest at his residence thereafter

Mzee Moja has fought the good fight. He finished the race and kept the faith. To God be the glory! Amen.

Husband of the late Grace Kanini. Father of Rose Mueni, Justus Mutua, the late Kithimba, the late Kitheka, late Muisyo, the late Mwikali, Nancy Kaluki, Nixon Mulati (Avenue Car Hire), Judy Mwongeli, Ednah Kamene, Julius Maveke, Naomi and Florence Syokau. His daughters in law are: Charity Muthoni, Connie Nthenya (KEMRI), Florence Nthenya, Winfred Mumbua (MEO Kamukunji Ward) and Miriam Ndila. His grandchildren are: Stephen Maveke, Anthony, Maxwell, Jeniffer Mutanu, Norah and Grace Kanini among others. Great grandfather of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting at Jafpers Hotel (Mfangano Street), All Saints Cathedral, Bonita (Tala) and his Segani home.

The cortege leaves KU Mortuary on Thursday 12^th January 2017 at 7am for a funeral service and burial at his home Sengani, Tala, Matungulu, Machakos County.

Sister of the late Aloa Ng’ong, Leonida, late Mica among others. Aunty of Ulda, Ochieng’ Aloo among others. Sister-in-law of the late Blesto Aiko, Julia Aloo and Christina among others. Her sons-in-law are: Emmanuel, Jacob and Caleb among others. Grandmother of Dickson, Henry, Dan, Loice, Sarah, David, Esther, Kennedy among others. Great-grandmother of Teyman among others. Nyawana of Philip Otieno Odongo and late Labia Otieno among others.

Relative and friends will conduct a fundraiser on 10th January, 2017 at Nairobi Central SDA Church (Old Sanctuary) at 5:30 pm and on 11th January, 2017 at YWCA, Kisumu at 5pm.

The cortege leaves Avenue Hospital, Kisumu at 9am on 12th January, 2017 for prayers at Misita SDA Church at 11am. The burial will be held on 13th January, 2017at her rural home n Misita Villige, Kanyadhiang’ Sub-location, Homa Bay County.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at her home in Ndueni, Nzeveni, Mbooni West District and Nairobi at Norwich Union House from Tuesday 3/1/2017 from 5pm.

There will be a mini Harambee on 5/1/2017 at Norwich House. The cortege leaves Montenzuma Monalisa Machakos on 7/1/2017 at 8am. Prayers and burial will take place at Ndueni village, Nzeveni, Mbooni West.
