With a heavy heart, we the Gachoka family announce the passing of our beloved Juddy Gachoka after a brave battle with cancer.

Duddy passed away on 16th March 2017 at The Nairobi Hospital while undergoing treatment.

Justice Kemei (MP Sigowet/Soin Constituency), Jophan and Job Kemey (DCC North Horr). Mother-in-law of Alice, Ann, Dr. Mutai, Emmy, Dr. Ng’eno, Sarah, Naomi and Irene. Daugher of the late Daniel Lang’at and Sarah Lang’at, step-daughter of Grace Lang’at of Boito, Rongai. A memorial service and unveiling of the cross will be held for the late Elder Dr. Sammy Tumuti Thuku.

Husband of Dr Dinah Wangui Tumuti of K.U. Father of Abraham Thuku Tumuti and his wife Mercy Wangari Thuku and Joshua Wachira Tumuti. Brother of Serah Wangui, Julieta Njoki, Gladys Wanjira and Njeri Thuku.

We announce the death of Anthony Kamiti who died in the USA. Son of Sally Wamaitha Wainaina. Grandson of the late Hosea Wainaina and Isabel Njeri Wainaina of Ngecha Farm, Bahati, Nakuru.

Brother of Robert & Jenna Wainaina. He was nephew of Eddy Wainaina, Reuben Wainaina, the late Kamiti Wainaina, Rev Dr Judy Mbugua, Wambui Wainaina & Wanjiku Wainaina. Cousin & friend of many.

There will be prayers held on Tuesday 21st March 2017 at Homecare Spiritual Fellowship – Ngong Road at 5pm.

The body arrives from the USA next week. Funeral date will be announced later.

Daughter-in-law of Paul Njoroge Kamundia and Naomi Wanjiku Njoroge. Sister of Mercy Gakii (Nyeri), Attex Munene (Maua), Evalyyn Ntinyari (Nairobi), Roselyn Kanana (Embu), and Terry Kendi (Nairobi). Sister-in-law of Lydia Karimi, Tomas Ong’ora, Dominic Chokera and Albert Munene, Elizabeth Wairimu (USA), Simon Kimani and Jemimah Ngonyo. Aunt of Shoron Mwende, Sharleen Mugure and Samantha Kwambuka.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Kamandura near Kamandura Girls’ Secondary Limuru. The cortege leaves Uplands Funeral Home on Tuesday 21st March 2017 at 9.00am followed by funeral service and burial starting at 12 noon.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mzee Lucas Munguti Nthoo (Majee) which occurred on 9th March 2017. Husband of Teresia Kiswii Makosi. Father of Pastor Colletta Mwania (AIC Kamunyuni-Kambu), the late Veronica Kavindu, Rosa Mutinda Solo (AIC Kisekini), Patrick Iseu (Wamajee) – Tiens and Sospeter Kioko (Businessman Nairobi). Father-in-law of Joseph Mwania Kioko (Katumbuthu), Solomon Mbithi Kimuyu (KBD Machakos), Alice Mueni Iseu (Makueni County Government) and Grace Mwikali Kioko (Business Lady Kyumbi). He had 18 grandchildren including Mirriam Mwania (1st woman Makueni County – KNUT) and 12 great grand children.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Nyayo Stadium Poolside Cafeteria (Kwa Ndolo) – Nairobi, Dallas Africa – Kibwezi and at his Kalimani Village home from Monday to Thursday 16th March 2017 from 6:00 pm for funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, Machakos, on Saturday 18th March 2017 at 10am for burial mass from 10am at his home in Kalimani Village Mtito-Andei Ward, Makueni County.

Loving father of the late Major Solomon Murage (KAF), late Augustine Kinyua, Dr Sammy Kagoiyo-Njeru, Miriam Wanjiru, Abel Kairang’a Njeru, the late David Gaturu, the late Eliakim Gakingi (Jomo), Daniel Gikingo, Jotham Kibugi and Lucy Wanjiku. Father-in-law of the late Sophia Murage, the late Anne Kinyua, Sabinah Kagoiyo, Margaret Kairang’a, Njeri Gakingi, the late Gladys Gikingo, Ziporah Kibugi and Bernard Gikunga. Brother of the late Lawrence Kiragu. Cousin of Sebastian Njeru, John Njeru and Peter Ruibi among others. Adoring grandfather of Monica, Benjamin, Peter, Lilian, Beatrice, Eva, Collins, Damaris, Rachael, Kelvin, David, Solomon and many others. Great grandfather of 15 children.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily in Kaitheri Village home and Kombu-ini (Kiaga) home from 4.00 pm. The cortege leaves ACK Mt. Kenya Funeral Home on 18th March 2017 at 8.30am for a Prayer Service at Salvation Army Church, Kerugoya, and later burial will take place at the Kiaga Farm, near Kombu-ini.

Uncle of Charles Kairu, Samuel Kihara, Winnie Kihara, Kevin Muchoki, Sam Kariuki, Samuel Njoroge, Teresia Waithira, Triza, Tracy and John. Grandfather of Arianna. Nephew of Jane Waruhiu and Francis Waweru among others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangement at Tayari farm Molo. The cortege leaves St-Joseph Nursing Home on Thursday, 16/03/2017 at 8am for funeral service and interment at Tayari Farm.
