Husband of Catherine Wanjiru Wainaina. Father of Pastor Julius & Marianne Wainaina of ICC Imara, Keziah Wanjiru and John Sullivan of USA, John and Angelica Njau, Stewart and Rachel Edson Wainaina of USA, Humphrey and Keziah Kimani. Brother of the late Godfrey Tetu Wainaina, Margaret Wangari Njubi, Albert Kiromo and Daniel Hinga. Son-in-law of the late Stanley Kimani and Faith Wanjiku of Kagaa village, Kahuro District, Murang’a County.

Grandfather of Michael Ngigi, Rachel Nyakio, Nathan Baraka, Sammy Ruigu, Timothy Njau, David Njung’e, Kena Nyakio, Aurelia Wanjiru, Sue Amani Wanjiku, Rayden Williams Ngigi, Willow Rain Wangari, Shanyce Wanjiru Kimani, Keith Marshal Kinuthia and Shammah Wambui Kimani.

The cortege leaves the Umash Funeral home-Nairobi on 12th April 2017 at 8.30am for a funeral service at ACK Enoomatasiani Parish, Matasia, starting from 10.30am.The burial will follow thereafter at his home in Matasia.

Rev. Fr. John Peter Mugendi

 23/6/1966 – 5/4/2017

 It is with humble acceptable of God’s will that the Diocese of Embu announces the untimely demise of Rev. Fr. John Peter Mugendi on 5th April, 2017.

Son of Elias Nyaga and the late Beata Marigu. Brother of James Njagi, Francis Njiru, George Kithinji, the late Grace Murugi and Mary Wanjira.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily for prayers at his parents’ home in Njeruri-Kyeni.

The Requiem Mass will be on 10th of April at Mutuobare Parish at 3pm.

The cortege will leave St. Raphael Mortuary Consolata Hospital Kyeni on Tuesday 11th April 2017 at 2pm for vigil Mass at Kyeni Parish at 3pm.

The funeral Mass will be on Wednesday 12th of April, 2017 at Saint Peter and Paul Cathedral Karurina at 10am and thereafter the interment

of his remains at Clergy graveyard in the Cathedral grounds.

Bichage, Pauline, Sabina, Kerubos, Mbesa, Nyaboke, Bikombe and Teresa. Uncle of Ken – Nehema Keroka, Ombabas, Gekonges, Orinas, Bichages, Monaris, Bosires, Mokoros, Ogindas. It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Eunice Katanu Kilonzo Mbwele of National Oil Corporation of Kenya on 4/4/2017, after a short illness at Nairobi Hospital.

Loving wife of Dr Thomas Mbwele Mutie (KNH). Caring mother of Mutie, Kilonzo, Sheila and Michael. Daughter of Kilonzo Lali and the late Serah Kilonzo. Daughter in law of the late Mutie Ngondu and Esther Ngina. Eunice was a sibling of Fred Musyoki, Pauline Makau, Mutisya among others. Sister-in-law of Agnes Mutinda, Moses, Oscar among others. Cousin of Dr. Kathimbu, Mayoli among others; an aunt of Dolly, Mutheu, Katanu among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong’ Road and T-Tot Hotel in Machakos from 5 pm. A fundraising to clear the hospital bill will be held at Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong’ Road on Tuesday, 11th April 2017 at 5.00 pm.

Family and friends are meeting in Kericho at Rehabilitation Centre on Sunday 10th April from 5pm for a fundraiser and at Kisii Hotel on 6th April from 5pm. There is also a prayer service that will be held in Karen at the Getui’s home on Sunday 9th April at 3.00 pm.

He was the son of the Late Keneth Mbogo Kauma and the Late Roselly Kathanje Mbogo, husband to Lucy Njoki Kauma (Principal St. Peter’s Kathakwa Secondary School).
Father to Jim Gitonga Kauma (Clerk County Assembly of Embu), Denis Njeru (Priva nuts company), Josephine Wambura (Kirinyaga University College), and Levis Muchangi (Kenyatta University), Father-in-Law to Dorcas Koki Gitonga and and Lilian Kagendo.
Brother to Irene, Lilly, Gillian, Flora, Margaret and George Mwaniki grandfather to Clinton Munene, Sonia Njoki and Shawn Muriithi.

Mwalimu was a former teacher at St. Peter’s Kathakwa Secondary School Kibugu and immediate teacher of Kamiyu Secondary School Embu.

Beloved daughter of the late Mr. Benson Mithamo and Mama Esther Wanjira Mithamo. Step daughter of Beth Ruguru Mithamo. Daughter-in-law of the late Njue Ngano and Mama Jessica Njue. Loving mother of Sharon L. Mukami Njeru of Cheriz Properties Co. Ltd Nairobi and Chris Ngumo Njeru (student at KMTC Nyeri). Sister of Nicassus, Bishop Vanessa of London, Tabitha, Paul, Frank, Tony, Peter, Mureithi, Bishop Njeru, Naomi, Wanja, Evans, Charity, Joyce and Carol. In order to offset a huge bill of Sh1.5 million, family and friends are meeting daily at her home Difathas, her parents’ home in Kiang’ombe, Kirinyaga County, in Embu teachers, friends and church members are meeting daily at Canaan Guest house for prayers and funeral arrangements and in preparation for a fund raiser on Wednesday 5th of April 2017. While in Nairobi meetings are going on at Holy Family Basilica with a fund raiser slated for Thursday, 6th of April at the same venue.

Son of the late John Oduol, the late Mama Sylvia Odongo and Mama Rose Anyango. Husband of the late Dorcas Atieno Migundo and Lilian Dorah Akech Omondi. Son-in-law of the late Mzee Epanaito Migundo and Mama Tabia Migundo of Sakwa Awendo, and Mzee Samuel Omondi and Mama Zilpah Omondi of Nyakach Kasaye. Loving father of Caroline, Nixon, the late Gordon, Josephine Oguta, Sheila, Jim, Sam, the late Lewid, Laura, Lamech, and Lynn. Grandfather of Dorcas, Linet, Barbara, Clinton, Conrad, Calvin, Dorcas, Sylvia, Noelle, Jachine,Tahlia, Dawit, Naomi, Jonathan, Abraham, Hawi and Isaac.
