It’s with profound sadness, but with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Jane Wambura Machiri on 18th May 2017 at Coptic Church Hospital Nairobi after short illness, bravely borne. Beloved wife of Alfred Machiri Kabugi (Deputy Head Teacher Umande Primary School, Ndaiga, Laikipia).

Adored mother of Susan Wanjiku Ikiara of Mombasa, Kelvin Kabugi of Multimedia University Nairobi and Faith Wanjiku of Hiriga Girls’ Secondary.

Mother in law of Daniel Ikiara of Mombasa. Daughter of the late Lucy Wambui Githae of Mihuti, Mukurweini Nyeri, a daughter in law of Zachary Kabugi Matu and Susanna Wanjiku Kabugi of Kiamariga, Ruguru Mathira, Nyeri County.

Loving sister of Emma Wamuyu Karemeri – Sagana Karandi, Elizabeth Wairimu Kanyi (Mihuti) and Patrick Njimu (Mihuti).

Relatives and friends are meeting at their home in Kiamariga, and at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi,from 5:30pm. The cortege leaves Jamii Hospital Mortuary Karatina on Thursday 25th May 2017 at 8am, for a Funeral and burial at their home at Kiamariga, Ruguru Location Mathira Nyeri County from 11am.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely passing of Stephen Musalia Kidake, a businessman in Mwingi/Nairobi formerly with Barclays Bank and ADRA, that occurred on 16th May 2017.

Son of Mr. Caleb Kidake and Mrs. Margaret Jaza Kidake, loving husband to Jerusha Musalia and Mary Muthoni Gacibi (NHIF). Father to Selina, Mathew, Francis, Margaret and Javan. Brother to Jane Chavera (PSC), the late Carol Omega, Pamela Kerre (Eldoret), Peter Aswani Kidake (USA), Sally Kidake (KRA), Betty Kidake (NSSF), George Kidake and Jay Kidake. Brother-in-law to Herman Chavera, Prof. Kerre (University of Eldoret), Ben Omega, Elizabeth Ngeresa (EACC), Ann Wamaitha, Richard Macharia, John Kiero.

Meetings are being held from 6pm at Tumaini House, 5th floor on 22nd and 24th May 2017.

A fund-raiser will be held on Tuesday 23rd May 2017 at Railway Club from 6pm. Relatives and friends are also meeting daily at his Saika residence. The burial will take place on Saturday 27th May 2017 at Kigama Village, Vihiga County.

We the entire Kenduiwo family thank God for the life we had with our son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend Emmanuel; and for giving us strength, peace, grace and favour during the period of mourning. He was the perfect gift to us and his legacy lives on through all those whose lives he touched. We express and extend our sincere gratitude to all those who overwhelmingly and unreservedly supported us through prayers, visits, consolation, moral, physical and financial support. We remain humbled by the fellowship and guidance provided by the church and all the priests. During this difficult period your kindness comforted us. God has been good and faithful to us. We acknowledge and give special thanks to Kenya Ports Authority and the Technical University of Mombasa Fraternity. Our profound gratitude goes to: Holy Ghost Cathedral Mombasa, St. Mary’s Catholic Church Changamwe, AIC Mbaraki Mombasa, A.G.U.C. Bomet and St. Lwanga Catholic Church Kapsimbeiywo with special mention of Holy Ghost youth and choir, A.I.C. Mbaraki praise and worship team and all the church groups who came home daily to pray and condole with us. We also express our heartfelt appreciation to the chief medical officer Dr. Gome of K.P.A and the entire team of doctors, nurses and medics who tirelessly attended to Emmanuel at Bandari Clinic, Mombasa and Pandya hostiptals. Our sincere thanks to the funeral committees both in Mombasa and at home for their unfaltering commitment to accord our Emmanuel a befitting farewell. Mother of Patrick Kipchumba, Edward Kiprop, Winnie Jerotich and Jacqueline Jepkoech. Grandmother of Malikah and Fabrice. Mother-in-law of Naomi and Mariam. Daughter of the late Joash Barno and the late Roda. Daughter-in-law of the late Rev. Joel Mengech and Mama Dorcas Mengech.

Sister of Alice, Shadrack, Silas, Selly, the late Rachel, Edwin, Jane, Andrew, Eunice, Emily. Sister-, in-law of Truphena, Annah, the late Mark, Kiprono, Milcah, Prof. Mengech, Ezekiel, Delilah and the late Cheboriot. She was a niece, aunt and a friend to many.

Family, friends and relatives are meeting daily from 4pm at Hill School Eldoret and at the Kapseng’ere home.

A fundraising will be held at Sirikwa Hotel on Wednesday, 24th May 2017 at 4.30pm and at the Kapseng’ere home on Thursday, 25th May 2017 at 3pm.

The cortege leaves MTRH Funeral Home Eldoret on Friday, 26th May 2017 at 10am for a memorial service at Sirikwa Pentecostal Fellowship Church. Thereafter, the cortege leaves for Kapseng’ere. Burial service will be held at the Kapseng’ere home on Saturday, May 27th of 2017 starting at 9am.

Father of Evans Mureithi, Irene Njeri, Romano Thuku and Michael Tumbo (Pupil at Elite School). Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Kitui Signal Garden Hotel at 6.00 p.m. and at his homes in Muthiga and Nyahururu Core-site for funeral arrangement.

The cortege leaves Nyahururu Level Four Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 25th May 2017 thereafter he will be laid to rest at his Muthiga home, Nyandarua County.

Brother of the late Simon Mwambu Mwanthi, David Kivuiyo Mwanthi, Philip Nzuki Mwanthi and Regina Katui James. Uncle of Faith Mbithe, Mutethya, Mwanthi Nzuki, Musya, Mwanthi James, Mumbi, Agnes, Grace, Tabitha, Kasyoka, Jedida.

The Kenyan killed last weekend in a tragic accident with the U-Bahn in Dornbusch in Frankfurt am Main has been identified. The Kenyan community in Frankfurt under the leadership of Rafiki am Main invite you to a harambee tomorrow to support the family repatriate her remains to Kenya.

A Kenyan lady that was crashed to death by an U-Bahn in Dornbusch has been identified as Alice Wanja. The 36-year old lady, was based in Frankfurt am Main. She is believed to have been trying to pass between two wagons of the U-Bahn when she lost her grip, slid and fell between the tracks. The Kenyan community in Frankfurt has come out to help out the deceased’s family and have set up a GoFundMe page as well as organised a harambee set for tomorrow.
