Obituary Image of Benjamin Nzazi / Tamia Nzazi

Benjamin Nzazi / Tamia Nzazi

Following the death of Benjamin Nzazi and his 11 year old daughter Tamia, who both drowned at Lake Whitney in Hill County, Texas, a committee under the umbrella of Kenya Diaspora Advisory Council of Texas and made up of friends from other parts of the USA has been formed.

The committee has agreed to help facilitate Ben’s mother and brother as they attempt to get visas from Kenya and travel to attend the funerals, which are set to take place in Texas on Wednesday 31st May 2017.

Plans are ongoing, but we are appealing to our community to mobilize and help fund raise to the travel expenses. We have very little time and must act quickly. Any additional funds raised above and beyond the visa and travel expenses will be used to meet the needs of Ben’s family during such a difficult time. Everyone in our community matters.

We are indivisible and united at times like this and are committed to doing whatever it takes to help Ben’s mother come to honour her son and her grand daughter.

The committee appeals to all of us to participate in whatever way possible.

Ten Year Anniversary

You may be gone from our sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts.

We may not be able to see your face but we will always see your sweet smile. We may never hear your voice but you will forever echo in our souls.

No matter how many years go by, the pain of your death never diminishes. The love you had for all of us is something we deeply miss as much as we miss your presence in our lives.

Fondly remembered and missed by your loving wife Sally, your children Carolyne and Patrick, your son-in-law, John, your grandson Leroy who you never got to meet but is as humorous as you were and the extended family.
