It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Agnes Kadenge Mugedo after a short illness on 21st August 2017.

Daughter of the late Kesekwa and the late Marita. Sister of the late Jedida, the late Aseyo, the late Agnetta, the late William and the late John. Wife of the late Pastor Joash Mugedo. A loving mother of the late Norah, Andrew, the late Justo, John, the late Prof. Mugedo, Elisha, the late Jesca, Phanuel and Herbert. Mother-in-law of Mary, the late Margaret, Bilhah, Fatuma, Wanjiku, Abby and Esther. She is survived by 38 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Kaimosi Jumuia Hospital Mortuary on 31st August, 2017 for a church service at Ivona A. D. C church there after a night vigil at her home. She will be laid to rest on Saturday 2nd September, 2017 at Wanondi village,Vihiga County.

Mother-in-law Isabela, Rose, lrene,Tecla, Ondomu, Onyancha, the late Nyangina and Joshua, Nyanusi, Cecilia, Marita, Zippora and Guto.Granny and great great grandmother of many.

The cortege leaves Nyamira Maternity Nursing Home on Thursday 31/08/2017 to her funeral home. The burial takes place on Friday 1/09/2017 at Bigege village to Bosamaro Chache, Nyamira County.

She was daughter of Njeri Gaitho (Late) and Gaitho Nyangei (Late). Sister to Mwangi Gaitho (Late), Macharia Gaitho (Late) and Wambui Githinji. She was beloved wife of Michael Maina Kaburi. Mother to Gabriel Kimani, Peter  Gaitho (Late), Joseph Kuria, Stephen Mwangi, John K. Maina, Margaret Wangari and Teresiah Kariuki. Mother-in-law to Hellen Kimani (Late), Jane Kuria, Margaret Mwangi, Jane Karanja and James Kariuki. She was grandmother to 17 grandchildren and great grandmother to 7 great grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at 4.00pm at her home, Kiharo Village, Kariva Sublocation and at St Andrews Church Nairobi from 6pm on Thursday 31 Aug and Friday 1 September, and from 6pm on Thursday 31 August at Buruburu Wab Hotel (Jimlizer). The Cortege leaves Bishop Okoye Funeral Home Thika, at 8.30 am on Saturday 2 September 2017 for funeral services and burial at her home in Kiharo Village, Kariva Sublocation, Kandara District Murang’a County.

Sister of Mary Wandia Kabiru, Eunice Wairimu Njogu, John Maranga, Robert Muriuki, Lucy Njoki Wachieni, the Late Peter Kabuga and Dedan Muchoki. Father in law of Rose Obur Magano, Ken Mogeni, Stella Kyongo, Susan Kemunto, Ken Gichaba, Joyce Chemutai and the late Edward Makindu.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Thursday 7th September 2017 for his home In Nyandiba village, Marani Sub County Kisii County. Burial will be on Friday the 8th of September 2017 at the same venue.
