It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that the Kakenyi family announces the passing on to Glory of our dear mother Agnes Nzilani Mulinge Kakenyi, Loving wife of the late Gregory Mulinge Kakenyi of Miwani, Machakos Town and co-wife of Peninah Mulinge of Kangundo, which occurred on January 25, 2017 in Nairobi Hospital after a long illness bravely borne.

Daughter of the late John Muli Kunga and Rhoda Muli. Sister of paul Maithya, Jackson Kavita, the late Dickson Musyoka, Beatrice Wayua Mackenzie, Christine Munyiva Mutua. Mother of Maggie Solomon, Mbesa Kakenyi, Lina Ndungwa Kakenyi, Lucy Mulinge-Esiroyo, Mumo Kakenyi and Andrew Muli Kakenyi, Matilda Mutevu, Georgina Mulinge and others. Mother-in-law of Andrew Solomon and William Esiroyo. Sister-in-law of the late Brigadier Peter Kakenyi, the late Anna Mukonyo, Veronica Ndumi Kasango, Syowia Kasoja, the late John Marco Kakenyi, Brigid Mbatha Kakenyi, Lydia Kakenyi, Joseph Kakenyi, Faith Kakenyi among others. Grandmother of Barbara Nzilani, Gary Solomon, Leon Mulinge and Gabriel Mulinge. Cousin of Colonel (Rtd) Michael Mutua, Late Nicholas Muindi and Terry Mulehi. Auntie of the Mbaa Wambua, Mbaa Muindi of Makueni, Mbaa Kavengele of Yatta.

Family and friends are meeting at Garden Square on Tuesday 31st January and Wednesday, 1st February 2017 and at her residence in Miwani Machakos Town from 5pm. The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home Machakos on Friday 3rd February 2017 at 8am for the funeral services at Machakos Cathedral thereafter burial at Kathome (along Nairobi-Machakos road).
