Been a long time since your demise, I never knew you physically cause I was a young boy when you were the MP for math are where I grew up.
One of the most profound thing that Ngumba did for the people of mathare and many may never know, and wish to bring to light is how he single handedly pushed for the freeing of Mathare( which today comprises of kasarani and Ruaraka constituencies)from paying of trading licenses for any business person who wanted to open business or conducting in the area. My mum was a small business person in the area. Due to this legislation by Honorable Ngumba( I call him honorable deserving unlike today’s MPs who are so full of themselves) she was able to conduct her business without interruption so common today from the council Askari’s. That I can say earns Mr Ngumba a place in the hall of fame, if not of this great country trashed by politicians! Then in the hearts of the people of Mathare, whom I today , I believe see a true hero in a person I never met, but I read widely about.
    Kenya needs another Ngumba.
In him I know how representative of the people should act and carry themselves.
Through the small business of my mum enabled by Mr Ngumba , My whole family of 16 children went to school and thrived in different areas of influence all over the world due to this great man vision for the people.
My siblings are scattered in every part of the world due to this great man.
Take heart family. Your dad was a great man who impacted this nation in a way I can never explain.
Great men don’t die, they love in our hearts forever.

Hon. Ngumba was a selfless man. A rare gem to whom the current and future generation in Marurui and the larger Roysambu awe it’s existence.
