It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing away of Benard Kimunyu Kabugu of Kaiyaba village, Mathira West Sub-County, Nyeri County, which occurred on 5^th July 2026 after a short illness.

He was the son of the Late Joseph Kabugu Njoroge and the Late Charity Gathoni Kabugu.

Loving husband to Nancy Huini Kimunyu and beloved father to David Kabugu, Joseph Waweru & Isaac Njoroge.

He was a brother to Simon Kinyua Njoroge, Michael Chege, the Late David Wachira, Leah Wamuchii Kuria, Julius Gathogo, Susan Wanjugu and his twin Peterson Karanja.

Brother-in-law to Elizabeth, Leah Chege, David Kuria, Leah Gathogo, Rose Karanja, the late Eustace Nderitu Waweru, David Kinyua Waweru, the late Margaret Wambui Waweru, Purity Wairimu Giteru, Lucy Nyawira, Jane Wangeci Ngachira, Catherine Wakonyo, Esther Mumbi and Ephraim Kimotho Waweru.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at their Joska home Plainsview B Estate from 5.30pm to 8pm for prayers and funeral arrangements and at his rural home in Kaiyaba from Wednesday 8^th July to Sunday 12^th July 2026.

The cortege leaves KU Funeral Home, Nairobi Northern Bypass, on 14^th July 2026 at 8.00 a.m.

Funeral service and Burial to be held at his rural home in Kaiyaba village, Mathira West sub-county, Nyeri County at 11.00 a.m
