It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of Gods will that we announce the demise of Florence Wanjiru Ngugi of Gathigi village, Githunguri Sub-county, Kiambu that occurred on 08/08/2019 at Nazareth Hospital after a long illness.

Wife of the late Mathew Ngugi Wainanina. Beloved mother of Andrew Kuria former Head Teacher Cioiko Primary School, Faith Nyambutu, the late Salome Wangui, Prof Mathew Kinyanjui (JKUAT), Sister Alice Wambui (Precious Blood Riruta) and the late Florence Njeri. Mother-in-law of Maina (Naivasha), Muchiri (Subukia), Wangari and Wanjiku . A grandmother of 23 and great grandmother of 24.

Prayers and funeral arrangement meetings are taking place daily at her home Gathigi village.

The cortege leaves Mukoe Funeral home on Thursday 15/08/2019 at 9.00am. Funeral service will take place on 15/08/2019 at St. John Catholic Church Jamaica and thereafter the body will be laid to rest at her home in Gathigi Village, Githunguri, Kiambu County.

May the almighty God Grant her eternal peace, Rest in peace Mother.

Brother-in-law of Edmund, William, Samuel, Kennedy, Viulance and Jennifer. Nephew of Sophie Omoro, Betty Achoki, Susan Omoro, Christine Omoro and Jack Omoro, the Oduols, the Oyugis, the Okuthes, Angeline Diro, Elizabeth Magina, Mathews Okwiri, among others. Cousin of Bildad, Donna, Beryl, Sheila, Oluoch Diro, Eric Magina, among others.

Major Harambee to defray funeral expenses will be held today, Tuesday 13/08/1019 at All Saints Cathedral from 6.00pm.

Memorial Service will be held at Mamlaka Hill Chapel-Ruaka (Opp Two Rivers) on Thursday, 15/08/2019 from 11.00am.

Funeral arrangements are ongoing and the cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home, for his parents’ home on Friday 16/08/2019, for burial at Fort Ternan, Koru on Saturday 17/08/2019.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home off Mbagathi Way on Friday, 16th August at 6.00am. The service and burial will be conducted at Gichaka village, Ol Joro Orok sub-county, Nyandarua County on the same day from 10.00am.

He hails from Chironge Village, Kiamokama, Kisii County. He was a long serving educationist and civil servant.

Father of Salome Onyonka, Moturi Onchiri, Josephine Onchiri-Makori, John Mokandu, Innocent Orenge, Dr. Samuel Onchiri, Roselyne Bonareri, Edna Onchiri and Darius Isaboke. The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Thursday, 22nd August 2019 at 7.00am for his home for overnight stay. Burial will take place at Chironge village, Kiamokama, Kisii County on Friday, 23rd August 2019 from 9:00 am.
