It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of Joseph Ndegwa Gakiria on 3rd August, 2019, after a short illness at Outspan Hospital, Nyeri.

Son of Matthew Waweru Gakiria and Eugenia Wangui Waweru of Likii, Nanyuki.

Husband of Priscilla Wangari Ndegwa (Equity Bank, Mukurweini).

Father of Marlin and Michelle. Brother of the late Grace Wanjiku, the late Sam Gakiria, Charles Gakuo, Patricia Mugure Kibi (UN Women), Rose Wangui (Juba Catering Services), Paul Gakiria (Safaricom).

Grandfather of Malina Wangari. Brother-in-law, Uncle, Cousin and Friend to many.

Friends and family are meeting at IBIS Hotel, Nanyuki, and at his residence in Mugambi Estate, Nanyuki.

The cortege will leave Nanyuki General Hospital Mortuary on Monday, 12th August, 2019 at 9.00am for the funeral service at Benedictine Monastery Nanyuki from 10.00am and thereafter burial at Anko Joe’s – Likii, Nanyuki.

Eternal rest grant unto our dear Anko Joe Oh Lord and let your perpetual light shine upon him.

Daughter of Bilha Malesi and the late Laban Ivida. Sister of Salamba, Daniel,Akimanya, Kageha, Elizabeth, Margaret, Ambale and the late Adisa and the late lsabwa.

Mother-in-law of Metrine, Judith, Christine, Jael, Elizabeth and Sarah.

Grandmother of Lavender, Patience, Blessing, Gift, Chani, Emmanuel Mukonyi, Gidel, Sandra, Faith, Shelomi, Paul Brian, Emmanuel Prince, Bravin, Hope, Yudias and Chamara.

Her body was transferred from Kaimosi Friends Hospital Mortuary on 08/08/2019 to her home in Inyali village, North Maragoli, Vihiga County, and the burial will be held on Saturday 10th August 2019.

Mum we shall dearly miss you.

Brother of Miriam Muthoni (Othaya), Salome Wambui (Sipili), the late Paul Mwangi, Maina Ndugi (TSC, Nairobi) and Gladys Wairimu (Kirichu Nyeri).

Son-in-law of Mr and Mrs Kinyua Gathogo (Buruburu 2).

Brother-in-law of the late Nelly Wamuhu, Dan Gathogo, Hilda Nyaguthii (I&M Bank), Moses Njoroge, Elijah Nyuguto, Wilson Njuguna, Maria Waruiru, James Mureithi and the late John Waithaka. Grandfather of Kwame Mbuthia.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his Mairo-lnya home at 5:00 PM for burial arrangements. The cottage leaves from Nyahururu Referral Hospital Mortuary on Monday 12th August 2019 at 8:00 am.

The burial will be held at his farm Kiriita, Mairoinya.

Brother-in-law of Zipporah, Rosemary, Salome, Kathuni, Nkoroi, the late Gitonga, the late Mwirigi, Nyamu, Esther, Paul, Priscilla, John, the late Stephen, Jeremy, Truphosa and Ken. An uncle, cousin and friend of many.

The cortege leaves Meru Funeral Home on Monday 12th August, 2019 at 9.00am. Funeral service will be held at Kiamutuja Methodist Church, South Imenti Sub-county, Meru County at 10.00am followed by the burial at his home in Kiamutuja village, on the same day.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University funeral home on Wednesday 14th August, 2019 at 7:00 am for funeral service at Itoloni Corps, Kangundo from 9: OOam, thereafter burial at her home in Maiuni Village, Muisuni Location, Kangundo, Machakos County on the same day.

The Cortege leaves Masaba Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 8th August 2019 at 9.00am, for a Church Service at Ematsuli Church of God at 10am. Thereafter the Cortege Proceeds to her matrimonial home at Ematsuli Village.

Burial will take place on Saturday 9th August 2019 at her matrimonial home, Ematsuli Village, Bunyore, Vihiga County at 2 pm.

Deno was truly loved by family and friends and will be dearly missed. Rest in peace.
