Damaris Wangui Kimani

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Damaris Wangui Kimani which occurred on Wednesday 18^th January 2017 after a long illness.

Daughter of Amos Kimani Kirikuru (Former Assistant Chief Karuri) and Esther Muthoni Kimani. Loving mother of Esther Muthoni and Janet Wangari. Sister of Jacob Maina, Janet Wangari and Grace Waithera.

Sister in law of Johnson Maina, Mary Kamoya and Paul Maira. Cousin of the Kaninas, Kanyongos, Cheges, Mbatias, Stans, Kamaus, Muturis, Macharias, Nyoros, Njoroges among others. Auntie Lisa, Kim, Ciru among others.

Friends and relatives are meeting at Holy Family Basilica, St Bakhita’s Hall and at ACK St James Cathedral Kiambu on Thursday, Friday and Monday at 5.30pm. There will also be daily meetings at her parents home in Kiruri, Kangema for burial arrangements.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday 22^nd January at ACK St James Cathedral Kiambu at 3pm. The cortege leaves Kenyatta Mortuary at 8am on Tuesday, 24^th January for funeral service at ACK St Paul’s Kiruri at 11am and the burial thereafter at her parents home in Kamakwa Village, Kiruri location, Kangema, Murang’a.

Damaris, you have fought a good fight, won the race and kept the faith. Rest in Peace.
