Deaconess Catherine Kasyoka Musumbu

It is with the acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Deaconess Catherine Kasyoka Musumbu, of University of Nairobi (SWA), which occurred on the 17th of March 2017, after a short illness.
Beloved wife of Christopher Katwai Musumbu, OGVV, (Director of Administration State Department of East African Community Integration). Dear mother of Doreen Nguta Katwai, Derrick Musumbu Katwai and Jane Watahi Katwai. Daughter of the late Francis Kitundu Nzyimi and the late JaneVVatahi Kitundu. Daughter-in-law to the late John Musumbu Muuso and Alice Nguta Musumbu. Sister of the late Sarah Kitundu, James Nzyimi Kitundu, Shadrack Kitundu and Benjamin Kitundu. Sister-in-law of Jedidah Musumbu, Col.(Rtd) Francis Musumbu, the late Sammy Musumbu, the late Sandi Musumbu, Joel Musumbu, David Musumbu and Lydia Musumbu. Niece of Pauline Wairimu Mahugu and Cousin of Geoffrey Chege Kirundi, among others.
Friends and family are meeting at the All Saints Cathedral from Monday 20th March 2017 to Sunrise 1966 – Sunset 2017 Thursday 23rd March, 2017 at 6.00 PM. There shall be a fundraiser on Thursday the 23rd of March, 2017 from 5.30pm at the same venue.
A memorial service will be held at RGC- Liberty Christian Centre opposite Eka Hotel on Mombasa Road, on the 24th of March from 1 1.00 am. The Cortege leaves MP Shah Hospital Mortuary on Saturday 25th March, 2017 for her burial at her home in Kakeani Location Kitui county.
Mum, you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith and left us a great legacy!
