Eglah Njeri Gatere

It is with humble acceptance that we announce the death of Eglah Njeri Gatere of Gaturi Location, Murang’a County, after a long illness bravely borne. Daughter of the late Josiah and Zipporah Wanyeki of Gathukeini Village.

Beloved wife of the late Bedan Kamutu Gatere. Daughter in law of the late William & Gladys Kamutu Gatere. Cherished mother of Dr Nyambura & Akivaga Kigamwa, the late Eva Gatere, Muthoni Gatere, the late Edwin Kamutu, Mary Gatere, Sybil Gatere, Sylvia Gatere-Bikos, Dr Lydiah Gatere, Lemmy Wanyeki & Esther Warui.

Beloved sister of the late Mary Maniki, late Hodia Wachera, Abyshag Mahiaine, Loise Muching’a, James Wanyeki, Paul Waigi and John Karanja. Sister in law of the late Sophia Ndegwa, the late Keziah Mwaura, Josephine Waithira, late John Mwangi, Lydia Chege, late Solomon Iregi and Peter Kaguta. Grandmother of Dr Kadivane, Gatere, Vickie, Eli, Jaime, Changi, Nyathigi, Njeri, Ethan, Stephanie & Imani. Great grandmother of Tendai.

Friends and relatives are meeting at All Saints Cathedral from Tuesday 31^st January 2017 at 5.30pm and at her house in Mumbi Estate, Murang’a. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on Friday 3^rd February 2017 at 8am followed by viewing and burial at her home in Karinga Village, Gaturi, Murang’a.
