It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Eva Wangui Wambugu on the night of 9th July 2026.

Beloved wife of the late Cyprian Wambugu Mambo.

Loving daughter of the late Rufus Muchemi and the late Mary Nyokabi.

Devoted mother of Christine Wanjiru Namulanda, Maryanne Nyokabi Murage, Barbara Wanjiku Mambo, and Julie Wangari Mahinda. Cherished mother-in-law of Kizito Namulanda,Anthony Murage, and Victor Mahinda. Adored grandmother of Carmen Wanjiku, Natalya Nyachomba, lnaki lrinyo, Lukka Mambo, Idoia Namalero, Joseba Chairi,William Wachira,Yera Nyachomba, and Rosa Wambui.

Loving sister of the late John Wachira, the late Phoebe Wanjiku, Jerioth Wambui, the late James Gitonga, Rahab Mugure, and the late Peter Kigera. She was also a cherished aunt, relative, neighbour, and friend to many.

A devout Catholic, Eva lived a life of unwavering faith, grace, generosity, and service. She will be remembered for her elegance, warm smile, deep love for her family, and steadfast commitment to God. A

Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kileleshwa, on Wednesday, 15th July 2026, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, Kabati on Friday, 17th July 2026, at 8:00 am and proceed home for the funeral mass and burial at the family home at 10:00 am in Mwiboini Village, Kanjuu Location, Gichugu Constituency, Kirinyaga County.
