Franklin Roosevelt Litondo

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mr Franklin Roosevelt
Litondo that occurred at a hospital in Nairobi on Good Friday 14th April 2017 after a long battle with
cancer, bravely borne. He was a former Principal of Kenya Wildlife and Fisheries Institute – Naivasha
and Lead Consultant – Nature and Culture Conservation Planners International, Sudan.
Loving husband of Nellie Atsali Litondo (lecturer, Daystar University). Father of Jeremiah Litondo, Mrs
Lavender Sungu Nyadenya, Raymond Litondo, and Anderson Litondo. Father-in-law of Kate Fischer
Litondo, Nixon Ebboyi Nyadenya and Anna Portnyagina Litondo. Grandfather of Andrew, Natalie,
Reina, Felix and Adrian. Son of the late Rev.Timothy Litondo and the late Rev. Mama Susie Litondo of
Shikunga Village, lkolomani Constituency, Kakamega County. Brother of John Morrison Litondo, late
Amelia Ob’bayi, Rev Joy Okuthe, Paul Litondo, Mrs Mary Altburger, late Martha Litondo and Dr. Kate
Litondo. Son in law of the late Rev Isaya Eshiomunda Makuku and late Mama Salome Andanje Makuku.
Brother in law of Mrs Amina Litondo, Oliver Ob’bayi, late Willis Okuthe, late Michael Altburger, late
Dr. John Makuku and Mrs Sonya Makuku, late Zipporah Bakhoya Amanya and late Aggrey Amanya, late
Jacob Kutswa Makuku and Mrs Dinah Kutswa, Mrs Mary Buruna and Mr Charles Buruna, Mrs Adah
Musambai and Mr Assa Musambai. Nephew of Oliver Litondo. Beloved Uncle of Meshack, Hannah,
late Timothy, Ian, Kevin, late Michael, Nicholas, Steven, James, Charles, Hope, Fred, Ben, Alan, Rawlings,
Sammy, Suzie, Susan, Jimmy, Browne, Robert, Loise, Linda, Lucy, Sammy, Lorraine, Maurice, Jacky, Tony,
Gloria, Sally,Victor among others.
Family, relatives and friends are meeting daily at the Litondo’s residence at Suna/Mwaka estate house
number 3430 along Wanyee road and Antonios Grill in Nairobi from 5pm for funeral arrangements. A
funeral service will be held at Mariakani Christian Centre South B in Nairobi on Friday 28th April 2017
at Ipm. He will be laid to rest on his farm at Shikunga Village, lkolomani Constituency in Kakamega
County on Monday I st May 2017 beginning at I Oam.
A Fundraising meeting will be held today Tuesday 25th April 2017 at 5pm at All Saints Cathedral (Hall
Nr. F318) Nairobi to offset medical and funeral expenses.
