George Kimani Waithaka

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of George Kimani Waithaka that occurred on Saturday 13th May 2017 at Kenol Hospital after a short illness. Son of the late Waithaka Kabati and late Ngina Waithaka. Husband of the late Beatrice Njeri and Ruth Wangari. Father of John Waithaka, Elias Kamande, Joseph Waithaka, Erastus Kabati, Wangari, Elizabeth Nyambura, Janet Wangui, Stanley Ngugi and Ann Wathuku. Brother of the lates Joseph Kabati, Edward Kamau, Boniface Ndururi, Rachael Wangui, Simon Kamau, Catherine Ngina, Mary Wangui, Irene Njeri (Gikomba), James Githua (Gatanga Furnitures Murang’a), Rachael Waringa, Lucy Wambui, Kennedy Kabati (Georges’ Furnitures Murang’a) and the lates Mary Ngina, Emily Geoffrey Kangethe and Peter Kagoiya. Father-in-law of Elizabeth Wambui Waithaka, Paulina Wanjiku Kabati, Jane Njeri, Faith Wanjiru, Grace Wanjiku, Beatrice Kabati and Lydia Wanjiku. Grandfather of many grandchildren Ali and great-grandchildren. Family and friends are meeting daily at Murang’a Mukawa & Tourist Lodge Murang’a both at 7pm, Nairobi Magomano Hotel and at his home Mabanda, Gatanga starting 6.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements. The cortege will leave Bishop Okoye Funeral Home Thika on Saturday 20th May 2017 at 9.00am followed by funeral and burial at his home Gaconde village, Mabanda Gatanga sub-county starting at 12 noon.
