Insp. (Rtd) Godfrey Mathenge Weru

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the passing on of Inspector (Rtd.) Godfrey Mathenge Weru which occurred in Nairobi on 27th June 2017 after a short illness.

Son of the late Daudi Weru Hiuhu and the late Wambui Weru. Brother of Geoffrey Thea,Alice Mumbi Kioko, the late Christopher Riri, the late James Maina, George Muriithi and Mary Karima. Step-brother of Joseph Mathenge and Samwel Munuhe. Loving Husband of Millicent Gathigia. Loving father of Grace Nyambura (South B Deport Police Station) Caroline Nyawira (Prime Physiotherapy Kiambu), Susan Wambui (Peflo Kiambu), David Mathenge (Ecoplan Kenya Ltd) and Annrose Ngendo (Town link Communications Ltd). Father-in-law of Charles Wanjang’i (Mob o Police Station), Samuel Maingi (Nairobi), Alex Wainaina (Suam Enterprices) and Lucy Mwangi (Safaricom Ltd), Grandfather of Lawrence Kinyua, Ken Mathenge, Gregory Muriithi, Justin Kabera, Claire Wamaitha, Clara Ruguru, Maurice Kamau, Stecy Njeri, Alfred Mathenge, Phinehas Mathenge, Bridget Ruguru, Gianna Muthoni and Bruno Mathenge. Great grandfather of Grace Nyambura Kinyua.

Friends and relatives will have their last meeting today at Norwich Union starting at 6pm.The cortegeleaves jamii Hospital Mortuary Karatina on 5th July 2017 at.9.00 a.m for burial at his residence in Kiamigwi Village, Mathira, Nyeri County.
