Jacob Opiyo Angado

It is with profound shock that we announce the death of Jacob Opiyo Angado. He was the Secretary General of Kenya National Union of Service Employees (KNUSE), Director of Rapid Business Services and formerly of National Bank of Kenya.

Son of the late Shadrack Angado and the late Christine Angado of Thurgem Agoro-Nyakach. Husband of Martha Opiyo. Son-in-law of the late Joash Nyakongo and Doris Nyakongo of Kamser, Karachuonyo. Father of Nancy, Christine, Joseph, Maryanne and Linda. Father-in-law of Cosmas Mbithi and Steve Owino and grandfather of Patrick, Jacob, Martha, Shanice and Olivia. Brother of Japheth Okuku, Richard Okungu, Mark Otieno, the late Elijah Onuong’a, the late John Omom, the late Trufena Abok, Joshua Angado, Martin Akeyo, Solomon Owino, Mikal Were, Rusalia Okeyo, Esther Obura, Caren Ojwang, the late Joseph Odidi, Gershon Dulo, the late William Onyango, Meshack Odoyo and others. Brother-in-law of Jane Ogao, Hesbon Nyakongo, Harison Nyakongo, Alice, Prisca Okeyo, Joyce Odidi, Rose Onyango, Grace Okuku, Isidora Owino, Joyce Okungu, Margaret Onuong’a, Rebbeca Odoyo, Mary Otieno among others. Uncle of Jared Abok, Eng.Peter K’Abok, Meshack Okeyo, Hellen Odenya, Eliakim Ouko, Dorothy Osir, Jack Okuku, Susan Wakiaga, Joseph Okoth,Cleveland Omondi, the late Joseph Bita among others.

There will be a meeting today at Hot Dishes Restaurant, Bruce House at 5 pm and there will be mini harambee at his Ngong residence on Sunday 9th July at 2 pm. The main harambee will be held on Tuesday 11 July at Cardinal Otunga Plaza from 5.30 pm. Thee burial is scheduled at K’Angado Village, in Agoro Nyakach the date will be announced later.
