It is with great sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Jane Muringo Njigua from Mukurweini, Nyeri County and Nairobi Donholm. Retired teacher at Imara Primary School Kayole.
Daughter of the late Kabai Thumbi & the late Julia Wamucii Kabai and Cecilia Wanjiku Kabai.
Wife of the late Johnson Njigua Gachanja. Loving mother of Winfred Kuria and Edward Kuria, Chris Gachanja and June Nyambura, and Maureen Gathoni. Grandmother of Lesley Karanja Gachanja, Johnson Njigua Gachanja, Abigael Muringo Gachanja, late Joel Theuri Gachanja, Taji Kinyanjui Kuria and Aaron Njigua Kuria.
Sister of the late Charles Gichangi & Jecinta Karura, Teresa Wambui & Samwel Githinji, Paul Thumbi & the late Eunice Njoki, the late Stephen Ndirangu & Irene Murugi, Pastor Joseph Ndegwa & Agatha Wagithi, John Kariuki & Tabitha Mumbi, David Gitonga & Catherine Wanja, Peter Muriithi & Purity Wambui among others stepbrothers and sisters. Daughter-in-law of the late Titus Gachanja & the late Grace Gathoni.
Sister-in-law of late Kamamia Gachanja & Generrica wangui, late Wanjohi Gachanja & Jemima Njoki, late Kamere Gachanja & Olympia Wanja, Leah Wathiha, Anthony Mwaniki, Elvis Wachira & Lucy Wambui, late Stephen Kariuki, Jane Wangui & David Nyamu.Among sisters & brothers in law. An aunt, cousin, grandmother and friend to many.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily at PCEA Kayole and her home in Mukurweini Nyeri, from 6:00PM. for prayers and funeral arrangements.
There shall be a Memorial Service on Sunday 26th July 2026 at PCEA Kayole from 4.00PM.
The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home Kabati Thika Road, at 6:30 AM on Thursday 30th July 2026 for funeral rites at PCEA Muhito Church Mukurweini Nyeri, from 10:00 AM, followed by burial at her residence.
