Wife of the late Joseph Waitara Kariuki (formerly of Kenya Breweries Ltd). Daughter of the late Gachanja Wachira and the late Julia Wangui Gachanja. Mother of Alice Waitara, Wangui Kahindo, Paul Waitara (Gataragwa Girls), Elijah Gachanja, Gerald Kihara,WachiraWaitara,WanjaWaithaka,Wamuyu Maina, Ann Wothaya and the late Pauline Wanjiku. Sister of the late Wachira Gachanja, the late Wanjiku Kibiru, Tarcisio Kamathiro, the late Regina Wakagongo, Mathew Ndau, the late Stephen Waithaka, Gathoni Wachira and the late Kirigo Kimotho. Grandmother of Jane Wambui Njuguna (KEMSA), Ken Waitara,Waitara Kahindo (Wajir), Samuel Mwangi (Nyamakima), Betty Mwangi (France), Muriithi Kibe (Emkib), Brian Waitara (Othaya Boys), Wambui Kihara, Edwin Wachira, James Njuguna (Amaco), Winnie Waitara, Joy Kariuki, Abi Kariuki,Wambui Wothaya, Kanyago Kahindo,Thuku and Wangari. Aunty of Gachanja Kibiru (Gadpal), Magdaline Wagaki, Muhihi Kabwana, Gachanja Wachira (Mdogo), Muchiri (Mosca), Wamuyu Kamathiro (Bishop Kitonga Academy), Kimotho Ndau, Kingi Wachira, Rurigi Mugambi, Njagi Wachira, Mwangi Njaramba, Pastor Kiambati among others. Mother-in-law of Kahindo Gitau, Irene Kariuki, Waithaka Thuku, Josephine Wachira (CBK), Maina Mwangi,Wanjugu Kihara. Sister-in-law of the late Wanja (Kangari), the late Nyambura (Ithanga),Wothaya Wandere and Wamuyu Mugo (Nyahururu). Cousin ofWachira Kiambati, Ndau Kiambati, Ben Gachichio, Julius Waitara, Kihara Waweru among others. Great grandmother of Nicole & Nerrys Njuguna, Geraldine Waitara, Wangui Kahindo among others.

Burial arrangement meetings are being held at Millenium Hotel from yesterday, 13th December 2016 until further notice.
