It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Joan Shikuku Ongullu Obongita Teacher at St Martins Mumias School For the Deaf.

Adored wife of Patrick Obongita, Cherished daughter of the late Apollo Ongullu and Sarah Ongullu. Daughter-in-law of Hon. Francis Obongita (former MP Mumias), Mrs Rebbeca Obongita and Fridah Obongita. Mother of Susan, Rebecca and Francis Obongita. Sister of the late George, Ben, Christabel, James, the late Roseline, Christel Ongullu. In law of Philip, Tom, Kennedy, Willis, Rosina, Pamela, Chief Charles Munyendo, Elizabeth, Ruth, Anastancia, Violet and Catharine.

The cortege leaves Mumias Mission Hospital Funeral Home on Friday 13th January 2017 at 10am for a requiem service at Christ The King Ekero at 11am.

Burial will take place at her Bumanyi home-near Ekero, Mumias Sub-County, Kakamega County on Saturday 14th January 2017.
