It is with deep sorrow and regret that the Okong’o family wishes to announce the sudden death of the Patriarch John Dan Okong’o.

Beloved husband of Margaret A. Okong’o. Father of Naomi D. A. Okong’o, Dr Edwin Okong’o, Sir Paul Dan Okong’o, James O. Okong’o and the late Christine VA Okong’o. Father-in-law of Habiba Than Mohammed. Grandfather of Amy N. A. Okong’o. Brother of the late David Odindo, the late Boaz Odhiambo and George Anyango. Brother-in-law of John Okaka, James Wanda, Florence Okumu, Mary Odhiambo, Joan Odhiambo, Hellen Anyango, Millicent Okaka and the late Ada Apuda

The cortege bearing the remains of John-Dan wilt leave the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary also known as New Nyanza Provincial General Hospital on Friday 17^th February 2017 at 2.00 pm for the family residence in Tom Mboya Estate-Kisumu off the Kisumua-Kakamega Road on Omori Resa Road Number 23.

There will be a wake on Friday followed by an interment service on Saturday 18 February 2017 starting at 10.00 am. The interment will be held at the Mamboleo Cemetery Kisumu at 2.30pm (14.30 EAT).
