John Muriuki Mweri (J.E.; Salim)

Sunrise: 01/06/1946 Sunset: 25/05/2017    It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Muriuki Mweri, formerly of Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and Mwalimu SACCO. He died after being hit by a motor vehicle.
The first born child of Mrs. Leah Kagendo Mweri and the late Mr. Eustace Mweri Kihato of Kamatu Village (Karogoto), Tumutumu, Mathira, Nyeri County. Husband of Catherine Wangari Muriuki of Devorrence Enterprises & formerly of Min of Youth Affairs. Doting father of Leah Kagendo (Afya SACCO), Florence Wanjiru (Devorrences Enterprises) and Eustace Mweri (Air Traffic, Wilson Airport). Grandfather of Lynn Wangari, Luka Darrel and Devon Mbure. Brother of Dr. Eliud M. Mweri (Umoja Pharma), Dr. James M. Kahunyo (U.O.N), Jane M. Mweri (Formerly of PGH Nyeri), the late Mary N. Minju, late Titus Muhuni, Peter Kirira (Umoja),Winrose Wamwitha (Ministry of Education) and George Muthui (Umoja). Son-in-law of the late Mr. Peter Githinji and Florence Wanjiru (Wahundura); brother-in-law of James Maina (Mombasa), Julia Ndirangu (Kiriaini), Millicent Gakuu (Kharinet Enterprises), Robinson Kibata (Wahundura), the late Washington Mutaga, Jane Loice Githinji (Nakuru) and Faith Githinji (TSC-HQS), Millicent Mwangi (NHIF), Njeri Kiagayu (Advocate), the late Davidson Minju, Nancy K. Muhuni (Nyeri Town), Stella Kirira (Umoja) & Anne Muthui (Umoja) Cousin and uncle of many. Relatives and friends will meet for prayers and funeral arrangements at his former residence, Umoja I, G84, Kayu/Roadside Pub Umoja and All Saints Cathedral from Monday 29/05/2017 between 5.30 p.m and 8.00 p.m.The cortege leaves K.U. mortuary on Friday 2nd June, 2017 at 7.00 a.m. for funeral service and burial at his parents’ home; Kiamuhari, Kamatu Village (Karogoto), Mathira, Nyeri County at 11.00 a.m.
