The family of Mzee Joseph Owitch Pesa announces with deep sorrow & humble acceptance of God’s will the passing of their beloved patriarch, Joseph Owitch Pesa, on 9th April, 2026 at his home in Alego, Obambo, Siaya.

He will be laid to rest on 1st May, 2026, following a Requiem Mass at Usenge Catholic Church on 30th April, 2026.

He was the devoted husband of Margaret Apondi Owitch. A loving father of the late Fredrick Owitch, Maurice Owitch, Benedicto Pesa & Mary Caroline Owitch. A grandfather of Joseph Onyango & Lucy Malta, Joel Oduor & Leocadia, Cynthia Apondi, Churchill Onyango, Valencia Atieno, Marion Akinyi, Daisy Adhiambo, Clara Omondi, Anna Lisa Omwaka, & Nadine Apondi. A great-grandfather of Esther, Jayden & Mary.

Son of the late Pesa Dalla & Maria Othuol. Brother of the late Domtila,Anastasia & Puoyo.

Cousin of Obwong, Osaro, the late Paulo & Margaret, Zakayo & Consolata, Lucia, Lazaro & Agnes, Cleopas,Wahoya, Melitus,Teresia, Ouyo, Ochieng & Masiana.

Son-in-law of the late Clement Onyango & Brigita wuor. Father-in-law of Patricia, Leonard, the late Esther Keziah. Brother-in-law of Eng. Olunga, Jemima, the late hristina, Bendeta, Osero, Nyabiga, Rosa & Ragen.
