Lucy Waceke Ndung’u

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lucy Waceke Ndung’u which occurred on 24^th December 2016 at the Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa after a short illness.

Daughter of Alfred Gathogo Kiragu and Monica Muthoni Gathogo. She was married to Peter Ndung’u Wananu.

Mother of Mary Muthoni (UK), Florence Njeri (USA), Irene Wangari, Thomas Kung’u, Margaret Wananu and Alfred Mungai.

Sister of Margaret Lane (UK) Elizabeth Kang’ethe, Eng Jane Gathogo, James Kamu, Joseph Kamande, Bernard Ngugi, Peter Mbugwa, Ann Njoki (UK) and Lydia Gathogo (UK).

Sister in law of Waithaka, Wangari, Wangui, Mbugwa and Kamau.

Mother in law of Rodger Moore (UK), Edward Gichuhi (USA), Charles Karanja, Wangui Kung’u and Shirly Mungai (USA). Grandmother of Grace Nyausha, Njeri Gichuki, Waceke Gichuhi, Wanjiku Gichuhi, Lucy Kung’u, Thiri Kung’u, Peter Kung’u, Peter Mungai and Avery Mungai.

Family and friends are arranging for a harambee to offset the hospital bill, details can be obtained from the family members.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home in Nakuru at 8.30am on Tuesday January 3^rd 2017 and thereafter the funeral and burial service shall be held from 10am at graveside at Arahuka Farm in Bahati, Nakuru.
