Lydia Wangari Kimondo

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mrs Lydia VVangari Kimondo after a short illness.

Daughter of the late Ndegwa and late Gathoni. Sister of the late Wanjohi, late Gathekia, late Monderu and late Githii.

Beloved wife of the late Zachariah Kimondo Kibicho. Beloved mother of Charles W. Kairu, Paul N. Kimondo (EX K.C.B), Mrs Priscilla G. Thuita,  Mrs Mercy W. Njau, Mrs Esther W. Kiboi, George Munene, the late Joice Nyambura, the late Mrs Jane W. Kariuki and late Mrs Winnie W. Kimani.

Mother-in-law of Peter Thuita, Kimani Muthui, George Njau, Moses Kiboi, the late Samuel Kariuki, Mrs Catherine Kibicho, Mrs Mercy Ndegwa and Mrs Diana Munene. Great grandmother of many. She hailed from Mairo-ini Village Kiaguthu Sub-location Chinga Location, Othaya Nyeri County.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at 6pm for prayers and funeral arrangements at Emmacra Hotel Nairobi, Mr and Mrs Peter Thuita’s residence in Nairobi South B (opposite Jamii Sacco) and at her home in Mairo-ini Village.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on Wednesday 23/11/2016 at 7am. There will be a funeral service at PC.E.A St. Peters Church Kiaguthu in Maironi-ini Village starting at 10am and thereafter burial at her home in Mairo-ini Village (Kanjaramba).
