Margaret Wangui Gathungu

We regret to announce the death of Margaret Wangui Gathungu. Daughter of the late Paul Mungai Kibugi (Kiguru) and the late Njeri Mungai (Mugonye).

Wife of Francis Gathungu Ng’ania. Mother of Ng’ang’a,Wanjiku, Mungai, Njeri Thairu, Njung’e and Nguhi Gathungu. Mother-in-law of Rukia Ng’ang’a, Wanjiku Mungai, Sarah Yamo Njung’e and the late Thairu P. Grandmother of Wangui Gathungu, Kironyo,Wanpru, Wanjiku, Wanguis, Njugunas, Ndung’u, Kwame, Njung’e and Ng’ang’a. Great grandmother of Njeri, Njambi, Njuguna Ndungu, Nyambura. Sister of James Ng’ang’a, David Githuku, K. N. Mungai, Gitungo Mungai., George Kamau, Eliud Nganga, Mbugua Mungai, Damaris Waithira Karanja, Irene Waithira, Eunice Ngina among others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her home in Mwimuto, Lower kabete and at All Saints Cathedral on Friday 21st July 2017 from 5 pm.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Wednesday, 26th July 2017 at 9 am for a funeral service at ACK St. Johns Church, Mwimuto at 11am and thereafter proceed for burial at her home in Njathaiini, Mwimuto.
