Maria Magdalene Wanjiku Kuraihu

With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing on of our beloved Mother, Mary Magdalene Wanjiku Kuraihu on 6th January 2017. Wife of the late John Kuraihu King’ori (Othaya). Mother of Catherine Ngarachu, Anne and Passie Nyayieka of North Gem, Siaya, King’ori Kuraihu (Sian King) and Pauline Kingori (Rorit), Kericho Kuraihu (Cruizer Auto) and Nerisa Karicho (Admiral), the late Gilbert Mwangi and Salome Ndung’u-Mwangi (JKUAT), Jacinta Wairimu Githui (JAGIM) and Francis Muhindi (Manpower Services), Vincent Wanyanga Kuraihu and Lydia Wanyanga and the late Joe Kanyungu Kuraihu. Grandmother of Arthur, Caroline, Nancy, Ladslan, Magdalene, Peter, Catherine, John, Roy, Rita, Wendy, Kushy, Yvonne, Anita, Catherine (Boni), Jonathan, Ngatia, Chiku and Risper. Great grandmother of Peter, Okech, Richard and Ryan. Sister of the late Vincent Wanyanga Karicho, Margaret Wambui Kanyora, Michael Mwangi Karicho, Ndegwa Karicho, Wambugu Karicho, Peter Muchiri Karicho and Loise Muchiri. Beloved Aunt of Francis Ndegwa Wanyanga, Simon King’ori Kanyungu, Jimmy Karicho Muchiri among others.

Prayer meetings will be held at the All Saints Cathedral from 10th January to 13th January starting at 5.30pm.

The Cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home, Mbagathi Rd, at 7.00am on Saturday 14th January 2017, for Requiem Mass, at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Ruruguti, Othaya, on the same day starting at 10.45am and thereafter burial at her farm Ruruguti.
