Mary Njoki Maina

We regret to announce the promotion to glory of Mary Njoki Maina (formerly of Mugumo-ini Primary School, Thika) after a long and brave battle with cancer.

Wife of Joel Maina Kaninu (Matunda Secondary School, Murang’a County). Daughter of the late Stephen Gicharu and Alice Wambui. Daugther-in-law of Naftaly Kaninu and Esther Kabura.

Mother of Ivy Nyambura, Winnie Wambui and Joy Njeri (St. George’s Academy, Ngoingwa). Sister of Prof. Simon Gicharu, CBS (Chairman, Mount Kenya University), Bishop Emmanuel Gitonga (Blessed Beyond Measure Assembly), Henry Njoora (Venjo Enterprises, Thika), John Ruigu (Fidelity Computers, Nairobi), David Kimani (Jasy Agencies, Thika) and Samuel Ng’ang’a (Kings College of Technology, Thika). Sister in law of Jane Nyutu, Mary Gitonga, Veronicah Njoora, Martha Ruigu, Marion Kimani and Jane Ng’ang’a. Auntie and cousin of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Coconut Grill, Thika, from 6pm for funeral arrangements. The cortege leaves Bishop Okoye Funeral Home – Thika – on Tuesday, 21st March 2017 at 9.00am for funeral service and burial in Rwegetha Village, Gatanga Sub-County, Murang’a County.
