Mwalimu Andrew Bichanga Oburu

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mwalimu Andrew Bichanga Oburu of Nyangusu.

He was a brother of Pascal Ayioka, the late Gabriel Nyanamba, the late Aloisa Monyangi, Bonisusa Omogotu and Ferdinand Ondati.

He was the father of Kenneth Bichanga of SASRA, Nairobi; Lines Bichanga of Peakvision, Nairobi; Tiberius Oburu; Jackline Nyaboke; Godwin Asiago and Emily Bichanga.

He was also an in-law of the Wambugu, Gichemi, Bochwanda, Ochengo, Licha and Mairura families.

The cortege will leave Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital Funeral Home on Thursday, 18th June 2026, for a requiem Mass at Ritumbe Catholic Church, Nyangusu, beginning at 9.00 a.m. Thereafter, it will proceed to his residence in Bosingi, Mwanyagechache, Kisii County, for an overnight vigil. The burial will takeplace on Friday, 19th June 2026.

Funeral committee meetings are being held daily from 5,00 p.m. at his residences in Nyangusu and Bosingi PC
