We, the House of Mukoma, announce the death of our Patriarch, Mzee David Murungaru Gakuru on Friday 21 October 2016 at the ripe age of 92 years.
Son of the late Gakuru Mukoma and Warigia Gakuru. Devoted husband of Ruth Wambui. Loving father of Fredrick Wachira, Julius Muriuki, Former Cabinet Minister Dr. Chris Murungaru, the late Erastus Wanjohi, lrene Wanjiku Hunja, Aurylia Muthoni Mungai, Lucy Waceke and Janet Wangu King’ori. Brother of the late Ndarathi, Muita, the late Karanga, the late Githui, Mutundu Gikonyo, Warutere Murungaru among others. Revered grand and great grandfather of many, a respected community elder and a Christian of true faith.
Prayers and funeral arrangements are taking place daily at his home in Munyu, Kieni East Nyeri County and at St.Andrews P.C.E.A Church Nairobi on Tuesday 25/10/2016 and Wednesday 26/10/2016 starting at 5 p.m.
The cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral home, Outspan on Friday 28 October 2016 at 7am for funeral service and burial at his Munyu home starting at 10.00 am.
