Mzee Harrison Onyango Ongong’a

It is with acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mzee Harrison Onyango Ongong’a which occurred on 12^th February at St Paul’s Mission Hospital, Homa Bay.

Son of the late Mzee Ongong’a Msiara, the late Pamella Acholla (Memba) and the late Lucia Aoro (Nyakinga). Husband of Doris Ogweno, the late Clementina Achieng’ (Nyalego) and Roseline Achieng’. Father of Mwalimu Tom Mboya (Wakula Secondary School), Semekiah Ongong’a (Eng. Rural Electrification Authority), Mwalimu Dedan Onyango (Karega Muhati Secondary School), the late Meroline Akinyi, Pamela Atieno, Mwalimu Victor Onyango (St Mathias Secondary School), Faney, Leonard (Wakinga Secondary School), Usher, Alice and Adaline. Brother of Mzee Bodi Ongong’a, Mwalimu Wilson Abuoga Ongong’a, Rusia Ogwaei, late Birgita Ojungu, late Teresia Awuor Mkula, late Mzee Oyier Owuato, Onduso, Otota and Gaya. Uncle of Mzee Nyambori Msiara, Odingo, the late Okello, the late Ogweno, the late Odari Msiara, Charles and Okoth Tayare.

Brother in law of Siprina Bodi, Hellen Abuoga, Sofia Bodi, Peres Abuoga and Janet Abuoga. Grandfather of Tina, Tracy (Kisii University), Arnold, Laura, Kajumulo and others.

Fundraising will be held on Wednesday 22/02/2017 from 5pm at the Professional Centre, Nairobi. The cortege leaves Kirindo Med 25 Funeral Home on Wednesday March 1^st 2017. The burial will take place on Thursday March 2^nd 2017 at his home in Nyakweri Village, Mfangano Island, Mbita Constituency.
