It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Nancy Wangari Matherige through a tragic road accident.

Daughter of Lucy Wambut and the late Paul Mathenge. Wife of the late Ben Mbatia. Sisterof Charles Kihara, Joseph Mwangi, Nicholas Mwangi, Daniel Gichuki, Consolata Gathoni, Dinah Wangui, Kanuthu, Muchemi,Wanyiri, the late Mary Wangari, the late Margaret Wanpru, the late Daniel Gichuki, Lucy Wamuyu, Catherine Mwarania, Harriet Wa.ngui, the late An Warnbui Alfred Chege, Grace Karianjahi, Wanjiku, Wangeci, Wanjtru, Mbuci, Kiurire,Waweru and Gakobo. Mother of Lucy Gichuki Mugambi (Kabete National Polytechnic), Peter Mwangi, Jane Merl, Paul Mathenge (Thik_a Greens) and Margaret Nduta (Nyeri Retail Market). Mother in law of James Gichuki Mugarnbi,Agnes Gathigia and NancyWanjiku.Aunt of Mathew, Binah, Patrick, Beaty, Mary, Paul,Wambui, Ciku, Nyawira, Mercy, Munyoroku, Chtru, Lema, Gilbert, Mathenge among others. Grandmother of Samuel Wachira (Muiruri and Wachira Advocates), Chris Mbatia, Nancy Wangari, Ben Mbatia,Dennis Mbatia. Martin Maturo, Marx Mbatia, Batista Mbatia, Faith Wangari, and Gabriel Gitau.

The cortege left Mathari Mission Hospital at 8am on Thursday 22nd December, 2016 for a funeral service and burial to be held at her home, Muthaiga area, Ngangarithi Village, near Classic Hotel, Nyeri, starting at 10am.

Family and friends are meeting at All Saints Cathedral on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st December 2016 at 6pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.
