It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Rachel Muthoni Stephen that occurred on 12th July 2017.

Daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Mwanu. Wife of late Stephen Magambo Mungiiria. Sister of late Kathuguci, Kiacia and late Kanyua.  Mother of Tom & late Prof. Ciriaka Kithinji,  Lucy & late Mbae, Teresa & Dr. Riungu,Wanja  & Munyugi, late Angelo, late Nkoroi, late  Vivian, late John, Ceasar & Catherine, late  Florence and Luke & Kate.Stepmother of Kinoti, Nduuru, Marangu and Kawira. She is survived by 25 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves KU Mortuary on Friday 21st July 2017 at 6:00am for requiem mass commencing 10am at Mary Queen of the Rosary Gaturi Catholic Church, Abogeta location, South Imenti Meru County. The burial will take place immediately thereafter at her home.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Sister in Christ Mrs. Margaret Karimi Kithinji while undergoing treatment in mater hospital (Formerly a retired teacher of Ruiga Primary School). A member of the Equator Methodist Church in Gatimbi Meru.

Loving wife of Mr. Robert Kithinji. Mother of the late George Kimathi, Faith Gatwiri (Ntonyero Sec. Sch), Kellen Kananu (Britam & General Insurance Tigers Motorcycles), Enid Mwendwa (Prime Brand Ltd.) and Ashford Mwirigi (Makfix Ltd.). Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs M’Atugi M’Ambii, Sister of Thuguchi,VVanja, Mwebia, Rima and Murungi. In-law of Linus Kaumbuthu (Nkubu Boys High. Sch.), David Kaiberia (Davis & Shirtliff Ltd) and Evelyne Mwendwa.

The meetings are being held daily from 12th – 20th July 2017 (5:30pm at Norwich House opp. Hilton hotel and at home Rwanderi village to offset the hospital bill and burial arrangements). The cortege leaves Mater Funeral Home on Friday 21st July 2017 at 5:30am for funeral service at Equator Methodist Church Gatimbi Meru starting at 10.00am followed by burial at her home in Rwanderi village.

Son of Peter Njenga Ng’ang’a and Teresa Wanjiku Kinyanjui (Family Bank). Brother of Simon Ng’ang’a Njenga. Grandson of the late Ng’ang’a Kiguta & Veronica Wanjiru of Mwea Vilage, Mang’u and Richard Kinyanjui & Veronica Muthoni of Charity, Endarasha. Nephew of Kiguta, Githua, Warucu, Wairigu, Nyambura, Njoroge, Wangechi,Wathaiya, Milka Njeri, Rehema Wambui, Josephine Njango among others. Cousin of James Kinyanjui, Frank, Ryan, Nganga,Wanjiru,Wanjiku,Agatha, Emanuel among others.

Cortege leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday 21st July 2017 at 10.00 am. Mass will be held at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Mwea, Mang’u starting 12.00 noon and thereafter interment at Runyua Farm, near Mary Hill School.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at All Saints Cathedral starting 6.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

Beloved husband of retired teacher and elder Mary Nyokabi Kuria. Son of the late Mr & Mrs Wilson Muhia (Makunji). Grandfather of Robert Matheri (Canada), Jardine Mitchelle (Gems Cambridge International School Nairobi), Albert Kung’u (Canada). Brother of Grace Wanjiku Mwangi (Limuru), Ruth Njeri Kirima (Karla), Naomi Wangui Munyaka (Embu), Stephen Njoroge, Rosebell Nduta Wanjau (Lake View Academy Ruai) and the late Peter Mbugua. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on Thursday 20th July 2017 at 7.00am for funeral service and burial at his residence in Nginduri Village Mbari-ya-Igi Sub-Location, Kiambu County, from 10am.

Jesse Mose Michoma (JJ)

It is with a great sense of loss that we announce the abrupt passing on of our beloved Jesse Mose Michoma (JJ) which occurred on 13th July 2017. JJ was a student at JKUAT (Mechatronic Engineering).

Beloved son of Plan James Machuka Michoma and Margaret Moraa. Brother of Michael Mabeya, Reyna Kemunto, Jay Nyantari, Roy Keng’ara, Sandra Bousi and Samantha Nyaboke. Grandson of the late Hon. Stephen Michoma and the late Mama Monica Gesare; the late Mzee Joseph Onduko and Mama Sabina Kemunto. Nephew and cousin of many.

Daily meetings are being held at the family residence in Milimani, Nakuru (Kipsigis Rise) from 5pm.

Fundraising to meet funeral expenses will be held on Tuesday 25th July 2017 at Old Town Hall Nakuru at 5pm. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Sister of the lateJackson Shireku, Eunice Okeno, the late Arthur Olusakha, the late Javan Sawanga, Ayako, Ondari and Tabitha. Sister-in-law of the late Joel Omungala, Mikael Shitote,Stephen Shitote, Peter Moyi, Hezr’on Ochieng, Julius Angulu, Eshuchi, and Freda Erambo. The cortege leaves Rabuori mortuary on Thursday 20th July at 9am for a funeral service at ACK Mwirembe. Burial will take place on Saturday 22nd July at her home in lwirembe village Kisa East from 10am.

We regret to announce the untimely demise of our beloved Mr. Thomas Mwisawa Turuka CP which occurred on 12th July 2017 in Laikipia West after a bandit attack.

Son of late Mzee. Peter Turuka and Mama Catherine Robi of Naora Village Kuria West. Husband to Carolyne Macheta Mwisawa. Father to Maxwel Sereria and Jackson Marwa (St. Peter’s Elite Gilgil), Simon Masana (St. Joseph Rapogi), Ian Turuka (Multimedia University) and Jessica Robi (Chuka University). Brother to Sereria, the late Jackson Marwa, Joel, Nyamohanga, Nyakoba and Waisiko. Son-in-law to Mr. & Mrs. Simon Masana and brother-in-law and uncle to many. Until his untimely death, the late was the Deputy Commandant of ASTU-Gilgil and formerly served in the Presidential Escort Unit.
