We regret to announce the sudden untimely death of Mr. Stanley Kuria Matheri (Makunji) a retired teacher. He hails from Nginduri Village Mbari-ya-lgi Sub-Location, Kiambu County, which occurred on 14th July 2017.

Beloved husband of retired teacher and elder Mary Nyokabi Kuria. Son of the late Mr & Mrs Wilson Muhia (Makunji). Father of Caroline Wamaitha (Canada), Anthony Muhia, Peter Ndirangu Matheri (USA), Edith VVairimu and Annie Wanjiku Kuria. Grandfather of Robert Matheri (Canada), Jardine Mitchelle (Gems Cambridge International School Nairobi), Albert Kung’u (Canada). Brother of Grace Wanjiku Mwangi (Limuru), Ruth Njeri Kirima (Karla), Naomi Wangui Munyaka (Embu), Stephen Njoroge, Rosebell Nduta Wanjau (Lake View Academy Ruai) and the late Peter Mbugua. Brother-in-law of Alice Wanjiru, Margret Nyachania, Margret Mugure, the late Joseph Ndungu among others. Uncle of Wilson Mwangi (Greensteds International School), Mbogo Munyaka, Gathore Kirima, Wilson Njoroge (U.K), Maina Wanjau, Edith Mbugua (U.K) among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Nginduri residence, Mbari-ya-igi Sub-Location, Kiambu County and St. Andrews – Nairobi at 5.00pm for Prayers and funeral arrangements. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on Thursday 20th July 2017 at 7.00am for funeral service and burial at his residence in Nginduri Village Mbari-ya-Igi Sub-Location, Kiambu County, from 10am.
