13/2/1959 – 23/4/2017    We regret to announce the death of Omwalimu John Maosa Obongo formerly a teacher at Masige Primary School which occurred on 23rd April 2017 at Tenwek Mission Hospital. Husband of Mary Bosibori Maosa. Son of Mzee Obongo Ogaro and Mama Salome Kwamboka Monchari Obongo. Father of Emmanuel Maosa (Eco Bank), Vincent ndege (Coop Bank Nyeri), Edwin Maosa (KWS), Alfred (Nrb),Winnie, Job (Nrb). Alois (Nrb),Violet and Catherine (St. Pauls Nyandoche Ibere Girls). Brother of Kemunto, the late Annah, Joyce, Teresa, Kennedy, Charles, Samson, Vane, George, Caleb, Naomi,Abraham, Rodha, Sarandones, Gladys, Lillian, Dennis and Erick Obongo. Stepson of Mosima, the late Mosoti, Mwarania, Nyambegera, Gisemba, Thomas, Bobagi, Nyairo, Siocha, John, Hezron, Dominic and Ogaro Ogaro. Odhiambo, Nyangau, Saisi Maiso, Nyairo, Kerubo Mariita, Nyamorambo Mosoti, Nyerere Bobagi, Masese Onwonga, Gesare Omwamba, Kerubo M. osima, Bisinga Mwebi, Bosibori Mwarania, Morangi, Basweti Ogaro, Nyaboke Ogaro, Kemuma Ogaro among others. Grandson of Moraa Ogaro. Cousin and uncle of many. Son-in-law of the late James Otachi and Sarah Kerubo Otachi Brother-in-law of Rachel Nyakundi, Ebisiba Nyanchama, Charles Otachi, Peter Otachi and late Bogonko Otachi of Manga Isecha. Nephew of Moobe Bogonko, the late Ochomba, Gesare, Bitutu and Nyanganyi all of Gesima village. There will be a main fundraising today Wednesday 3rd May 2017 at Professional Centre, Nairobi ,starting at 5.00pm. The cortege leaves Hema Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 4th May 2017 for a memorial mass and burial on Friday 5th May 2017 at his home village Riamokogoti Scheme, Borabu Sub-County, Nyamira County.
