Prof. Peter Kabanya Mwaniki
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden demise of Professor Peter Kabanya Mwaniki through a tragic road accident on 2nd February 2017. He was the Dean, School of Nursing at JKUAT.
Son of the late John. Mwangi Luka and Lilian Kabura John of Wanjengi village, Murang’a. Son-in-law of Virginia Njoki Mwangi of Gacharaigu village, Murang’a. Husband of Catherine Njeri Kabanya of KMTC Embu. Loving father of John Mwaniki of Matuu Level 4 Hospital, Martin Mwangi of Brookside Dairy and Joel Kimotho of Embu. Father-in-law of Faith Kaluki and grand-father of Peter Cuban Kabanya. Brother of the late Joel Kimotho, David Irungu, Julius Chege, Rosemary Wanjiru, Lincoln Kabanya, Catherine Muthoni and Kenneth Ndegwa.
Funeral preparation meetings are ongoing at his home in PIAI Embu; Norwich Union Towers Nairobi from 6pm and his rural home,Wanjengi, Murang’a.
The cortege leaves Gakwegori Funeral Home in Embu on Thursday 9th February 2017 at 7.30am. Funeral service will be held at ACK St. Stephen’s Church, Wanjengi Parish at 10.30am and later laid to rest at his rural home Wanjengi village, Murang’a.
It realy hurts to know that I’ll never see you again….how you used to call me your daughter that you never had…how you used to jokingly say that’ll you’ll bring my dad rabbit as the dowery…you were such a great dad….forever in our hearts???
