Rebecca Nasiminyu Simiyu

We regret to announce the death of Rebecca Nasiminyu Simiyu which occurred on Saturday 6th May, 20 17 at Elgon View Hospital in Eldoret after a long illness. The deceased was wife of the late Fredrick Simiyu and co-wife of Concepta Naliaka. Daughter of the late Petro Wangaki Okova and Maria Namuma. Mother of the late Martin Wena, Florence Standa (University of Eldoret), Prof.Mukasa Simiyu (MMUST), Rosebella Nderema, Absolom Okova, Geoffrey Mulindi (SA), the late Jeremiah Waswa, Hon Dr. David Eseli Simiyu, Peter Simiyu, Moses Simiyu (Canada), Zibiuta Gavala, Maria Munasia and Ruth Simiyu. Stepmother of Felistus,Violet, Njalale,Wasilwa and Pamela. Grandmother of Patricia, Peter, Claude, Ken and Brian Wena. Boaz, Mukasa Junior, Chris & JJ Standa, Kevin and Barbara Okova, Cecilia and Maria Rague, Belinda, Cynthia and Maria Mulindi, Naomi and Salma Simiyu, Joyce and Rebecca Simiyu, Noami Liaga, Derrick and Zawadi Chandai, Stephanie Imonje among others. Great grandmother of Maisha, Nasiminyu, Beneah, Ebby, among others.
There will be a fundraising at Railway Club on Tuesday 9th May, at 6:pm and at her Naitiri home on Wednesday 10th May. Burial is on Saturday 13th May at her Naitiri Home; Makhanga Sub-location.
