It is with profound sadness and sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Salome Moraa Ombati on 08/02/2017 in Tom Rivers, New Jersey U.S.A.

Mother of Zion and Sinai Mosiara. Daughter of Joseph and Hellen Ombati of Mochenwa Village Nyamira County. Sister of Simon, Daniel, Sarah, John, Nancy and Leah. Sister-in-law of Carren, Edna, Philip and Cyrus. Her uncles are the late Simion Nyandemo, Charles Bosire, Gideon Meraba, Nyandemo Orenga, Kepha Mainye, Dr. Kerongo, Justice Bosire, Nyabuti Ongige among others. Her Aunties are the late Marta Moraa, Elizabeth, Anna, Alice, Ebisiba,Tabitha and Prisca Aron among others. Cousin of Dr. Nyandemo (UoN), Eng. Jared Obiri, Dr. Gladys Akama, Prof Kennedy Nyairo, Esther Nyandemo, Hezron Nyandemo, Shem Meraba, Violet Ongeri, Dr. Lillian Bosire. Granddaughter of the late Shem Maroko, Sporah Maroko, Ebisibah Mosubi Maroko and the late Ongige Ayonga and Salome Ongige.

Daily meetings are ongoing at Garden Square. Arrangements are underway to transport her body to her final resting place at her parent’s home in Mochenwa Village.

A fundraiser will be conducted on Tuesday 28th Feb 2017 (5pm-8pm) at Professional Centre to assist offset burial expenses.

The burial will be announced at a later date.
