Yona Omondi Ong’are

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Yona Omondi Ong’are Jusa, Seme Kowe.

Son of the late William Ong’are Olenyo and Miriam Ong’are. Husband of the late Angeline Aoko and Pamella Nyumba Omondi. Son-in-law of the late Paul and Patronalla Opanga of Asembo and the late James and Florence Nyumba of Kotieno Nyang’iela. Father of Felix Ong’are (Boyi), Sally-Joan, Florence Akoth and Jonathan Olenyo. Brother of Janet Otieno (OYS), Dr. Jacob Ong’are (Jumbo Agrovet), Fanuel Ong’are (Fantex Eldoret) and all the late Jonathan Ong’are, Priscilla Onyango and Paul Ong’are. Brother-in-law of the late James, Nelson and Joyce Nyumba; the late Mwalimu Richard Ogwang’, Janet Ong’are, Margaret Ochieng’, the late Marina Olenyo and Harry Onyango. Nephew of the late Patroba Okoyo, Habil Ondiek, James Orondo, Ishmael Ochoro, Mzee Peter Okode, Mama Milka Okoyo and Mama Risper Ondiek: the late Javan Ochieng’, Harris Okoth, Philip Diro, Jedida Owiro and Catherine Makwata of Gem Sinaga. Cousin of Fred Ogumbo, Duncan Ochoro, Beneah Ogumbo, Prof. Walter Ochoro, Dorcas Obillo, Washington Awinda, Joseph Olendo among others.

There will be a major fundraising meeting on Tuesday 7th March, 2017 at the All Saints Cathedral at 5.30pm.

The cortege leaves Sagam Hospital Mortuary for Jusa, Seme Kowe on Friday 10th March, 2017 for an overnight vigil and burial on Saturday 11th March, 2017.
