Anthony Phanuel Mathenge

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Anthony Phanuel Mathenge, (formerly of ICRAF) on June 16, 2017 after a tragic road accident.

Son of the late Jedidah Gathoni Mathenge. Husband of Nancy Waturi Mathenge (Deloitte) and father of Natasha Gathoni and Tamara Wambui Mathenge (Kianda School); brother of Andrew Maranga and Allan Ndiritu. Nephew of Charles Maranga (Kerugoya) and the late Francis Muriuki (Mweiga) among others. Son-in-law of Joseph and Jacinta Njinju.

Brother-in-law of Alex Njinju, Judy Maranga, Sabina Mundia, Nganga Njinju, Mburu Njinju, and Daniel Njinju. Uncle of Jason, Jeremy and Angela Maranga. Cousin of Caroline, Alex, Nicholas, Jane and Francis Maranga; and Milkajane, Phanuel, Steve, and Patrick Ndiritu. Nephew, cousin, and uncle of the larger Mahiuha Family of lhari Village, Tetu, Nyeri County.

Friends and relatives are meeting for prayers and burial arrangements at PCEA St Andrew’s Church, Nairobi, daily at 5.30pm from Monday, June 19, 2017.

Burial arrangements will be announced later.
