Daughter of the late Njoroge Mugucia and the late Wanjiru Njoroge.Wife of the late Mwangi Mbothu. Mother of Margaret Wanjiru Gathenya (Juija), Stephen Njuguna Mwangi, the late Leah Mwemajosephat Njoroge Mwangi, Mary Wangari Kigwe, Alex Gitata Mwangi, Susan Mbaire Maina, Christopher Mwaura and Rose Njoki.

Mother-in-law of the late Stephen Gathenya Chuhi, Beatrice Wanjiru, Samuel Mwema Murima, Goretti Wairimu, David Waiganjo Kigwe, Mary Gitata, Mike Maina, Judy Mwaura and Obadiah Mwaura. Auntie, Grandmother and great grandmother of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her son’s residence in Muthaiga North for prayers and burial preparations.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan University mortuary Nairobi on Monday 23/12/2019 at 09:00am.The burial service and interment will be held at her home Ngurunga farm next to Migaa Estate.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

With great sadness we announce the death of our beloved Guenther Haustedt, which occurred on 14 December 2019 after a long illness courageously endured.

Formerly of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, the Flower Label Program and most recently of Tara Consultants.

Devoted husband of Peta Meyer. Loving father of Oliver, Till, Lena and Kim. A loyal friend, a supporter and an inspiration to many who knew him.

Heartfelt thanks go to the staff, nurses and friends who accompanied Guenther during the last months of his journey.

There will be a private cremation followed by a memorial service to be announced in the new year.

Husband of Hannah Njeri Mugo. Father of Pauline Wairimu (Thika), Charles Kiguru and Magdalene Wambui, Beth Njoki Kahwai (Ministry of Agriculture Limuru sub county) and the late Samuel Kahwai, Lucy Mugo (Attorney General’s chambers) and King’ori Wanyagi, John Kimani (Somak Safaris) and Beatrice Nyaguthii, Agnes Wanjiru (Kamburu primary school), Joseph Ndung’u and Mary Njoki and the late Anthony Mwangi. Mother to Elizabeth Wanjiku, Anne Muthoni, Joseph Muthama ‘Thams’, Stephen Ndirangu, Apollo Karemeri ‘Pemba’, and Catherine Nyaguthii. Mother-in-law to Andrew, Amos, Sheila, Barbara, Elizabeth, Buddy and the late Veronique. She was at the time of her death a retired Kenya Registered Nurse, a former employee of the Kenyatta National Hospital and KEMRI Welcome Trust. She is a long time member of CITAM Valley Road church.

She was the daughter to the late Paramount Chief Manono Agwata and the late Naomi Bosibori Agwata. Beloved wife of the late Prof. James Nyambane Ombega. Cherished mother of Elizabeth Kwamboka, Dr. Mercy Nyanchama and the late Joash Agwata. She was mother-in-law to Jackson Ongubo. A loving grandmother to Amani, Zawadi and Jesse. She was a sister to Sigara Osugo, Rodgers Achoki, Joseph Onyancha, Helena Mayogi (all late) and Moses Bundi among others.

She was a daughter-in-law to the late Ombega Ongau and the late Rebecca Nyaboke Ombega. She was sister-in-law to Anne Ogechi, Janice Mogoi, the late Eunice Sarange, Yucabeth Onserio, Johnson Onyiego, Alice Nyabeta, the late Beatrice Bosibori, the late Timothy Osugo, Zibiah Achoki, Emmy Onyancha, James Mayogi and Josephine Bundi.
