It is with profound sadness that we announce the demise of Peter Ndung’u (Jomo).

Son of the late Mr. John Mwise and late Mrs. Mary Wangui. Brother of Emanuel Maria, the late Michel Mwangi, the late David Ndichu, Joseph Kariuki and Michael Kanene. Brother of Mary Mumbi. Peter is also survived by his in-laws, the Mwakina’s and Mwachala’s, relatives and others.

In 1992, Peter married Eddah Wanjala Mwakina who predeceased him on 17th June 2013. In 2015, Peter married Phidilia Wakio Mwachala, and together raised their five sons: John Mwise, Patrick Mwakina, Ben Waiyaki, Victor Mgendi and Dennis Able.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home at 7.30 am on Saturday 7 September, 2017 for a funeral service at his home in Ngong, Lower Matasia in Kajiado county from 10.30 am.

Friends and relatives are meeting at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, from 5:00 pm daily until Thursday the 7th.

There will be a major fundraising in aid of his young family on Thursday 7th September 2017 at All Saints Cathedral-Nairobi from 5.00pm.

No longer in our lives to share, but in our hearts, you’ll always be there. No words can express how much we will miss you.

Loving husband of Esther Wanjiru Chege; loving Dad of Leo Mukangu, Daniel Maina, Patricia Wangui, Miriam Mukami, Aida Wacheke, Bibiana Njeri, Alex Mwangi and Millicent Waruguru. Father-in-law of Margaret Mukangu, Agnes Maina, Dominic Wainaina, Peter Mwangi, Benson Wahagi, Peninah Mwangi and George Miano. Son of the late Peter Mukangu Mwangi and Wangui Mukangu of Kagongo village, Mathioya, Murang’a County. Son-in-law of the late Daniel Chege Gakuo and Miriam Njoki of Rutara, Nyandarua. Brother, brother-in-law, grandfather, cousin, uncle and friend of many.

Family and friends are meeting at his home in Kiamunyeki B (upper) in Nakuru and in Nairobi at Norwich Union House, 7th floor near Kimathi St/Mama Ngina St junction from Tuesday, 5th September starting at 6pm. The burial will be on Saturday 9th September at his Nakuru home, Kiamunyeki B, neighbourhood of Kabatini Centre and Bavuni.

Husband of Risper Muthoni. Father of Florence Wanjugu, Margaret Wanja and Eric Duncan Kiiru. He was the son of the late Duncan Kiiru Karuku of Kiria-ini and the late Florence Muchugu. Stepson of the late Esther Gathoni and the late Beatrice Wangui. Brother of Washington Karuku,Jannefer Njeri Njogu, Donald Munge, the late Christine Wangari, Judy Wambui, Jackson Kiroko, Lucy Njoki, James Gichuru, Margaret Njeri Thuku, Charles Karuku, the late Rosemary Wanjiru Wanjohi, Henry  Ngure (Engine), late Stanley Kiroko, George Karuku,  David Hosea and Faith Njeri Muguku. Son-in-law of  Bedan Kihara Kiunjuri and Margaret Wanja Kihara of  Kahuti. Brother-in-law of Grace Wangeci, Catherine Wanjeri, AnnWaithira, MercyWanjiru and John Chege.

The cortege leaves Kiriaini Mission Hospital mortuary at 9.00am on Friday, 8 September 20l7 for prayers and burial service at the graveside at his home at Kiriaini town, Mathioya District, Murang’a County. Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Ambassador Hotel, Nairobi from 5.30pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

And also at his home in Nakuru County,   Kiamunyi. Cortege leaves Christamarianne funeral home Kisii on 7/9/2017 for requiem mass and burial on September 8th 2017 at his maternal home in Bosiango Village, Bonyunyu Sublocation, Nyamira County.

Brother-in-law of the late Sabastian Njoroge Kangethe, Geoffrey  Njuguna Githinji, Charles Mwaniki Kariuki, John Muruthi Mwangi, James Kumu Mwichigi, John Mbugua Gachangi (US) and Margaret Waithira Kimani Mureithi. The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Mortuary on Monday 1th September 2017 at 8.00am fora funeral service and burial at his parents’ home,  Gitiha, Githunguri Sub- County, Kiambu County at 10:00 am.

The cortege will leave Bishop Okoye Funeral Home Thika on Thursday 7th September 20l7 at 8.30am followed by a church service at PCEA Rwaitira thereafter burial at her parent’s home in RwaitiraVilla, Gatanga, Muranga County.

Step brother of Kitumu, King’oo Nzula among others. Cousin of Jackson Kyule, Patrick Mungala, Reuben Mungala, Newton Mungala, Joseph Munyasya and Daniel Kanuna. In-law of Jeremiah and Lithar Muia, the late Joseph and Beatrice Mukavi. Uncle of Sammy, Peter, Mwende, Mutindi Muli among others. Grandfather of Grace, Mwende and Nafari. Father-in-law of Ann, Irene and Emmanuel.

Funeral meetings are taking place daily at Garden Square from 5pm and there will be a major fundraiser on Thursday 7th September 2017 at 5pm.
