Edward Mwirigi Magiri

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Edward Mwirigi Magiri which occurred on 10th June 2026 at Coptic Hospital.

Beloved husband of Joy Mbuya. Cherished Dad of Nicole Karwitha (University of Pec’s, Hungary), Eulogius Elvis Mutethia (Kenyatta University) and Victor Kirimi (Mang’u High School).

Son of the late Amedeo M’Magiri and the late Colletta Wanja of Mbwijeru (Nkandone) Village. Brother of Gacheri, late Gitonga, Mwiti, Murithi, Bundi Magiri (Meru County), Col. Stanley Magiri (KDF), Kinanu, Nchekei, and late Muchui.

Son-in-law of late Mburung’a and Joanina Mburung’a. Brother-in-law of Agnes, Teresa, the late Kinanu, Catherine, Jane, Mercy, the late Steve, Nicholas, Makena, Susan and Mugambi. He was an uncle to many nephews; nieces and he had many friends.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at both his homes in Rongai (Kimani Road) and Mbwinjeru (Nkandone) from 5.00pm.

There will be a requiem mass on Wednesday, 17th June 2026, at I 0.00am’ at Our Lady of Fatuma, Catholic Church Rongai Town.The Funeral Service will be on Friday, 19th June 2026 at 9.00am at Mbwinjeru Primary School and thereafter burial at his home in Mbwinjeru (Nkandone) Village, Kithirune East Location, Abothuguchi West Ward, Meru County.
