Elder Dickens Ochieng Odari

It is with profound sorrow, yet humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and church elder, Elder Dickens Ochieng Odari, who peacefully departed this life on 28 June 2026.

Born to the late Odari Nzenze and Flora Adhiambo, he was the beloved husband of Agneta Anyango Ochieng. He was a cherished brother of the late Robert Omogi, Eliazar Ochola, Salome Achieng, Elekia Ochola, the late Yucabeth Apiyo, Rose Adongo, Tom Odari, Akelo, and Lori Odari.

He was a devoted father of Cynthia Odari, Novaline Odari, Elvis Ochieng, Melvin Ochieng, Brenda Odari, and Tracy Odari; a beloved father-in-law of Cedric Tinga,Tracy Lavender, Jonathan Lando, and Benson Nyagah; a treasured brother-in-law of Janet Omogi, Jjemimah Omogi, Bernadette Ochola, Grace Odari, and Adriano Airo; and a proud grandfather of Yoi, Flora, Praise, Brenda, Geno, Travis, Taleya, and Lamo. He was also a loving uncle, cousin, neighbour, colleague, mentor, faithful friend, and respected church eider whose humility, generosity, wisdom, unwavering faith, and love for people touched countless lives.

Family, relatives, friends, and well-wishers are meeting daily at the family home in Kajulu, Kisumu, for prayers and funeral arrangements.

• Cortege Departure: Thursday, 23 July 2026 – Leaves Lee Funeral Home, Nairobi, for the family home in Kajulu, Kisumu. Burial Service: Friday, 24 July 2026, at the family home in Kajulu, Kisumu.
